Hi There,

If I am correct in this "timeline" thing- Bryce's vehicle was found around 5:30am last Friday 8 days ago. The burning body was found five days later this past Wednesday 4 days ago? What time about of the day was the body found by the bicyclist? Does anyone know? Thank you

dragracerz: Has there been anything released as far as footprints or tire tracks of another vehicle found around the area where car went off the road (possibly another party observing?), or around the site when the vehicle came to rest? A 2nd set of footprints besides Bryce's walking away?

I still hope they looked into any ER or urgent care patients with suspicious injuries. Not Bryce, but someone else that may have been driving.

dragracerz posted this earlier today

There was / is a discrepancy about the emergency tool. The sheriff first on the scene said it was used. Another said it wasn't

<modsnip> it would be quite difficult to accidently drive off the road where the car was crashed.
He said, you would have to maneuver around the gate then turn to miss the fence around the cell tower.
Now this could mean that Bryce thought he had driven too far down that road and used this to try and turn around and with it being so dark didn't see the edge and then rolled the car
OR
it could mean that someone, intentionally drove around to purposely dump the car.
One strange thing that was observed was that in the tire marks, there were mounds of dirt behind point of travel as to indicate acceleration NOT braking.
Now, again, this could be a last minute effort to "save" the vehicle from going over OR one to dump it

someone asked for time line, here is what I have

Time Line
Monday August 26 Bryce attends his speech class and web design class at Sierra College and has a “good normal conversation” with his mother, according to her. The family has a photo taken that afternoon of a “happy” Bryce posing with a Madden sports video game.
Tuesday 27th Bryce admits to his girlfriend he took at least one pill described as medication for attention deficit disorder, according to conversations relayed by the girlfriend to Bryce’s mother. “He was acting strange and he admitted he took that pill,” she said quoting the girlfriend.

Wednesday 1:30pm told his mom he was breaking up with his girl friend Kim Sly, they started dating March 15th ish
She (mother)also received information that Bryce had taken a pill, or pills normally prescribed for children suffering from attention deficit disorder.

10 p.m. Wednesday - Bryce reportedly tries to break up with his girlfriend. Friends, concerned about his behavior, take away his car keys.

10:30 p.m. Wednesday - Karen Laspisa tells the friends, by phone, to return the keys to her son after she speaks to him she told him she was going to fly up to the college to see him, he reportedly said: “Mom, do not make any flight. I have a lot to talk to you about.’”

Wednesday 11:30pm Bryce Laspisa leaves Chico, according to his girlfriend, Kim.
journey started Wednesday north of Sacramento

Wednesday 10pm left Sierra College in Rocklin north of Sacramento and began his drive to Laguna Niguel.
Thursday 9:am Bryce ran out of gas and called roadside assistance from the Buttonwillow Rest Area west of Bakersfield, a fact confirmed by the credit card company.
Thursday 12pm a roadside assistance serviceman named Christian delivers three gallons of gasoline to Bryce, according to a $20 credit card purchase for the fuel. “He’s not answering his phone (at this time),” his mother said.
Thursday 12:30pm Karen Laspisa calls serviceman Christian and asks about her son. He tells her he appears “OK” but adds: “His eyes look a little red.” Bryce does not answer his cell phone.
Thursday 9pm responding to a call from the mother, CHP officers stop and search Bryce’s car spotted on Lagoon Drive in Buttonwillow. “Something happened in the whole 10 hours he was around there,” she said. This may be the time at which he was considered missing with police.
Thursday 10pm Karen speaks to her son on the phone and asks: “What are you doing?” His response, she said, is: “I’m going to hang with friends later.”Thirty minutes later, he bought a $1.71 beverage from a Shell gas station near Buttonwillow exit on the corner of Tracey Ave and Lagoon Dr
Friday 12:30 am parents tried calling him but got no answer
Friday 1:50am Bryce’s parents reached him and he had said he was driving on the I-5 but could not see any signs, she said.
Friday 2:08 am last call to parents, was tired and going to pullover to rest. “He told me ‘I got off the I-5 and I’m in a suburban area. I’m going to sleep in my car,’” said Karen Laspisa (mother) “I told him to call me when he got up the next morning.”
He never called
Between 2:08 a.m. and 5 a.m. Friday - Bryce makes two trips to the crash site 2:07 and 4:20 the last trip ending with the crash, according to what his mother described as surveillance footage captured by cameras set up near Castaic Lake.
The crash had to happen between 4:20 a.m. and 5:15 a.m, It had gone down a 15-foot ravine nose first and landed on the passenger side. Bryce (or someone) has used an emergency tool to break the back window
Friday 5:30 am officers of the California Highway Patrol found his 2003 Toyota Highlander SUV on its side at the bottom of a 15-foot ravine on the Castaic Lake Main Boat Launch access road(Main Ramp Rd. The back window had been shattered.
cell phone, laptop and wallet inside the vehicle.
“There was some blood but they don’t know if it’s Bryce’s,” she said, adding investigators are now examining it for clues.
Friday 8am local police went to parents house to inform them they had found the SUV

later search

the search dogs following his scent to the edge of the lake.

Wednesday Sept 4th 6am a cycalist reports small brush fire on Lake Hughes Rd, at about 6:30 firefighters extinguish the fire and discover a body. Later in the afternoon(approx 3:30) sheriff’s Lt. Dave Dolson said the body was male, and that was one of the only things investigators knew about the person. Authorities said it was clothed and found with evidence around it, though they would not give further details, there was no indication the discovery is connected to that investigation

Just a friendly FYI....not supposed to post about PM'ing each other.....

If they have video of his vehicle traveling that road three times on Friday then perhaps they have video of another vehicle traveling that road just before the cyclist found the burning body on Wed? hhhmmm

I am now concerned that he was carjacked, possibly while sleeping in the Castaic area the first time. Then the perp drove the car around again to look for a place to dump it. Doesn't explain where he is though. Also doesn't explain why the car would be dumped at all, unless it was personal.

So concerning. Praying for the family.

I saw this, but was wondering about additional vehicles or any footprints. :)

If they have anything they are not releasing that info

@ dragracerz: When BL's SUV was seen the second time on video (Fri 4:20am) heading toward Casitas Lake ...
Was there a clear view of the back end of the SUV?

Was the rear window intact at that time? TIA

After the crash, was the rear window the only one that was smashed/broken?

Praying today brings Bryce home!!!

Is that a California thing? Every recreational lake I've been to down there had floating restrooms: Pyramid Lake, Castaic and Lake Casitas. I certainly hope they don't empty to the lake though.

I wish they had one at PineCrest lake! It's a long way row when you gotta go :)

When the dogs followed "his" scent to the water's edge (of lake) how do we know it was Bryce's scent? Just thinking that if someone else was driving or in the car it could have been his/her scent if they just followed any scent from the car to the lake?

Did the re-do the dog scent with the dirty socks & shoes? And did that scent go straight to the water?

Dragracerz, so sorry your family is going through this.

Do you know why it was reported that Bryce was going to break up with his girlfriend, but she gives no indication that was the case?

IDK if it has anything to do with anything, but just something several of us here noticed.

I don't know... must be, I assumed it was everywhere. And no, doesn't empty into the lake. At least the one I know of is towed to the shore to be emptied.

I know this is pretty OT but I wonder if it is 100%. I hadn't thought about possible maintenance workers (or "floating portapotty emptiers") being there. I can see them coming pretty early. I wonder if anyone like that came the day Bryce went missing and if they might've seen anything at all?

I agree!! I am not so much wondering if they saw anything but if they are involved? Has anyone done any digging into park workers or the individuals who are in there early training/ whomever was there that found the crashed car.....Both events happened early AM. Car crash located and buying body.
