Ok, no new news as of yet.

There is an organized search going on right now. Media has been alerted to this.

Staples and OfficeMax are both doing free flyers

I am now an admin on the FB page and have went back and contacted lost posts

My sister did talk to the guy that someone posted about a few pages back - it was not left unanswered, he is unavailable to come down until Friday (sorry forgot his name)

7-11 near Castaic is offering use of the facility for coordination as well as giving searchers free coffee, fountain drinks, slurpies and water.

Spoke with Laura Recovery Center again today - Fiona has been a big help

Still waiting on TeamAmber - going to try a different contact

I have put single searchers wanting to help in touch with other groups

Wow, way to go! You are a go getter. I'm sure Bryce will be super proud once he knows everything you've done for him.

Great coordination, dragracerz. You've got this nailed.

There was a message from someone on Team Amber from this morning, I believe, wanting to help. Just wanted to make sure you saw that.

I wonder if LE is discouraging TES due to the fact they have to investigate the area around where the burned body was found as a crime scene.

Team Amber post - took me a bit to remember. It was a comment on your sister's post from this morning by Jessica Gall. It should be at the top of this link.

ETA: There were several offers for help on your sisters heartfelt post this morning. There is also someone at the top of the the "Posts from others" section about help with bloodhounds.

Just wanted to say great job. Bryce is lucky to have such a dedicated advocate (and loving family in general).

Have they tried draining the lake yet? It says the maximum depth is 330 feet - I don't know how deep their search equipment works but that seems pretty deep to me. When Lyric and Elizabeth went missing, the lake by them was much more shallow and they drained it.

I don't know about Castaic Lake, but I know they start letting the water down in the lake by me pretty soon anyway.

Unfortunately, it's not an option for this lake. It's a main reservoir, connected to the California Aquaduct system & water used for power as well. It supplies water to a very large population of people.

Sheriff's Deputies Continue Search For Missing O.C. Teen
Mon, 09/09/2013 - 1:26pm

... Deputies with the Sheriff’s Department have been searching for the last seven days, said [JJ], spokesman for the Parks Bureau.

“They’ve been searching different areas, they’ve been searching by horseback,” [JJ] said. “We have all-terrain vehicles -- we’re searching everywhere we can. We’re trying to search the whole area and leave no stone unturned, so to speak.”

Approximately one-half mile of underwater shoreline, down to a depth of 80 feet has now been searched by divers, he said. ...

... “I woke up to the doorbell at 8 a.m. It was a California Highway Patrol officer who said he was dispatched from up north. He asked if our car was stolen, and we said, ‘No our son was supposed to be home with it.’ The officer said, ‘We found the car but did not find him. An officer will be in touch with you,’” [KL, BL's Mom] said. ...

... At this time, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have dropped the case down to an "informal search" status. ...
