Per his social media account....HE apparently is about to burn a blunt before the interview. I find this very irritating. I know I can't put it on here, but it should be noted.:banghead:

I think he's talking about a job interview. If you read back, the week school started, he posted he got a job & had 3 more interviews coming up.

Wish it were a news interview, though. That's for sure.

Well, that's just tacky. I'm not against smoking a blunt, but before an interview? Come on, really?

Oh, I misunderstood that too. I thought it was the news interview. Either way, smoking a blunt before any interview just seems like a really stupid idea to me.

Since he is MIA to avoid the media, BluePoppy may be right. Could be a job interview. Hope he doesn't have to pee in a cup :seeya:

so it sounds like they are searching the Lagoon now too, which is good , but

what did she mean by "crossed the dam"????

that spillway is on the other side opposite from where BL's suv was found

Did they track him to the other side of the damn?

Where does it talk about crossing the dam? I didn't see that in the KTLA article.

Since the LE probably knows the identity of the burned body, is it possible they have a cause of death and are searching the lake for a weapon?:twocents:

Broken into today? this week?

It's an okay area. It has its good parts and its not so good parts. It's more affordable than living directly in Santa Clarita, say Valencia or Stevenson Ranch, so that's why a lot of people live there. Plus you get more land. I live clear across town and have never thought anything bad about Castaic at all. But it does have a "truck-stop" feel to it starting at that particular I5 exit (last chance before the ambiguous "grapevine" and there's a jail there Wayside Jail or Pitchess Detention Center off Hasley (two exits south on I5) which could bring some criminal activity...?
Okay, I've stayed at the Days Inn in Castaic, and I don't get that feel about it, and I think Castaic is already in the Grapevine, but I do get that it's 42 miles to the next truck stop headed North on I5 at Frazier Park- that stretch is unpopulated. However, going South on I5- it's only 7 miles from the town of Castaic to Santa Clarita, where Magic Mountain is...

For Dragracerz: it's a windy divided road mountain pass of Interstate 5 that runs from the desert in Central Ca to the Northern-most part of L.A.- the San Fernando Valley. Hence, the name "the Grapevine". It is heavily traveled, especially at the holidays, as it is the most direct and shortest (but most boring ) route from N. CA to S. CA and back. It often gets shut down in the wintertime due to heavy snow, and they also get major fires there in the summertime.

BL reportedly didn't sleep for 3 or 4 days before he left on this road trip?

I wonder if he had taken something other than "one pill" of the ADD drug, with or w/o roommate and/or g/f's knowledge?

I agree. Also with connecting Newhall Ranch to the 126 & all the residential build up off Hasley Cyn, it's been pretty much built up to the point where you're never out of a populated area between Magic Mountain & Lake Hughes now. That used to be a pretty isolated stretch. Castaic is completely meshing with the rest of SCV. A couple years & you won't be able to distinguish a difference. Heck, McBean to Magic Mtn used to be isolated in the not too distant past. Now there's all of Stevenson Ranch, etc. Eventually Castaic will probably have bigger hotels to accommodate out of town lake goers who don't want to camp. :P

If you piece it together, I think Friday is being counted as Day 4. Bryce & Sean were waiting to buy a new game release at midnight Tuesday night. They (don't know who all?) were up all night playing the game. I think that is when he took the pill. So really he was up all night Tues night & Wednesday was when he called him mom about having to talk & breaking up w/his gf. Wed night he drove to Buttonwillow & slept.

I haven't lived there in 13 years, but back when I lived there (in the seedy apartments on Ridge Route Rd.), I definitely got a truck stop vibe. When you go down Castaic Road, there's gas station after gas station for trucks. Also, at night you would see one or two prostitutes over there!

The whole purpose of Castaic was for truckers to fill up--they exit Parker Road, turn left onto Castaic Road, fill up and get back on at Lake Hughes Road.

The east side where Lake Castaic is located (and the center where 5 splits) has several truck stops and trailer storage, boat storage, RV storage, an RV park and has quite an industrial area feel to it if you aren't in the actual housing there. Even the shopping center has a truck lot across the way from it. I think it depends on where you stop as to what the area is "like".

Ahh! Thank you! That helps to fill in some of the confusing blanks.

Obviously, the lake has not been ruled out by LE, IMO.

No results from todays volunteer search, however 2 men broke into several parked cars but was seen by a searcher, who then called a searcher down the road to call LE. The first searcher followed the perps until LE had them stopped and arrested. My BILs car was one broken into and one of the searchers had a friend at a glass company and got it replaced at no cost.

Its funny, no actually sad, as I sit here and think of all of these good hearted people to come to the aid of a family that they do not know to help find a child that they do not know, and bear 100+ degrees of heat searching for something they may not find, yet not give up.
I say its sad, because it takes something like this, for people like us to come together and show our true colors.

I am truly amazed as I am grateful.
