No results from todays volunteer search, however 2 men broke into several parked cars but was seen by a searcher, who then called a searcher down the road to call LE. The first searcher followed the perps until LE had them stopped and arrested. My BILs car was one broken into and one of the searchers had a friend at a glass company and got it replaced at no cost.

Its funny, no actually sad, as I sit here and think of all of these good hearted people to come to the aid of a family that they do not know to help find a child that they do not know, and bear 100+ degrees of heat searching for something they may not find, yet not give up.
I say its sad, because it takes something like this, for people like us to come together and show our true colors.

I am truly amazed as I am grateful.

Wow! I admire your attitude in this situation -- especially considering the car break-ins that happened during the search.

Gosh. It has to be disconcerting to be searching for someone in an area where people are breaking into cars. I imagine that everyone involved is worried even more about Bryce's safety in the area now.

Kudos for your strength!

I'm glad you posted that. I made that in a rush this morning just so I could get something out there but couldn't figure out how to get a grid from Photoshop to show so I cheated and drew the lines, later this morning I looked for a tutorial on Youtube but came up empty.
I'd like to make a better map with a grid for searchers to use but am clueless.

I know there have been a few post about people using their GPS on their cell phones, but I think there are a lot of people out there that might not know how to "map" their travels using GPS.......like me

There are several smart phone apps available for Android and iOS. I think the real challenge would be in having everyone use the same app for compatibility and synching. You've done a great job with this one. It's easy to read, easy to establish areas searched and it is being used by everyone (hopefully) so all bases are covered.

A commentor on the FB page suggested this one: http://www.mapmyhike.com/

ETA: Just my opinion! ;)
