Just a quick update
NBC ran that the search for Bryce was over - NOT TRUE. A sheriff affiliated with the lake said the search at the lake was unofficially over and the media ran with it.
Bryce is still listed as a critical missing person and the search is still very active. LASD will be releasing a statement confirming this.

The interview with my brother was so badly butchered last night, making it look like the family thinks that Bryce might have intentionally ran away, this too is not true, Bryce has never ran away in the past, during my brothers interview , my brother threw those statements out there (in the 25 min interview) just in case he was to see, to contact family, that is not our belief .
If Bryce were to go on missing on purpose, I know 100% that he would have made contact with his parents either prior to or shortly (1-2 days) after, Bryce is very close with them.
summation:
No one in our family believes that Bryce may me "hiding out" on purpose

I haven't been on here strictly because I have been very busy working on other things for Bryce's case and today I will be contacting local as well as LA area media to set them straight (and possibly give them a piece of my mind)

unfortunately the media does this all the time... picks & chooses their *sound bites*. i hope you do call their attention to how badly they chose in this interview.

keep up the good fight drag ~ you're doing an incredible job!!

Amen. ALL of it!

Ok, first off this is speculation and only an opinion.

If BL staged the accident and then disappeared because of sexuality issues.

First off, coming to the realization of ones homosexuality is not easy. It is a process and even in this day an age it is not easy for everyone. The family either does not know or is in denial. No one wants to be gay. It is something you have to learn to embrace and love about yourself. I have met guys that you would never know were gay. Bryce does not seem to be gay. Tall, in shape, likes football, ect., all the "normal" things. That can lead a family to believe in certain expectations and that could cause BL to have issues coming out or even excepting it himself.

So he couldn't deal and staged all this. It really is not that hard to believe this possibility. He could have cash and yes a second phone and had someone pick him up. While it is hard to imagine that anyone would do such a thing to their family, verses coming out, it could be easier for him than facing his family and those expectations they have for him.

If this is the case then all we can do is hope he will at some point come forward.

As for his uncle Glenn's statement. Journalist will do anything to hype their story for their career or the family truly wants to help BL and bring him home.

This is only one line of speculation of many is all I am saying

I also believe that the accident was truly an accident, and I sincerely hope that they continue to search the lake. Here's some links to cases where people were located in water after car accidents:

Nathan Tracy:

David Taundi:

Kurt Brimberry:

Let me emphasize that I hope that Bryce is alive and just hiding out, but based on the info that has been made public, I strongly believe that the water should be more extensively searched. MOO

If I lived in that area I would be asking if it would be helpful for me to paddle my kayak around that lake and see if I see anything.

And there it is.

Bryce does not have any sexuality issues.

Yeah, you know this was one line of speculation that some are running with that has taken a life of its own. I see zero evidence that this may have been an issue. The family reports no signs that Bryce may have such an orientation and dragracerz has made clear there would be no problem if he had. So again, staging his own death or suddenly disappearing from a remote area off the 5 after stating he was coming home to talk, makes no sense.

There is zero to indicate anything other than Bryce may have been going through some stuff. People have tried to make a big deal about his texts to his "bro" in which he says the guy saved his soul, "I love ya'man" kind of stuff. "Bro" is not a moniker used by people romantically attracted to one another.

No pinging of gaydar for me or many others. Kids can have issues that aren't sexual.

Pondering all sorts of possibilities is what we do but I hate to see this one take a life of its own, "supported" by some crazy troll making unverifiable statements or exaggerations of or additions to a possible statement made by a friend of Bryce's that no one has linked to. This is doubly problematic because some may believe the search for Bryce has terminated due to this belief.

I get the initial speculation but to me zero facts support this theory at this moment, above other theories and it feels like running with this theory could possibly hurt the chances of finding Bryce.

If I lived in that area I would be asking if it would be helpful for me to paddle my kayak around that lake and see if I see anything.

There are so many boaters and fishers up there using that lake. If he's there, I'm betting someone will eventually find him.

Whatever happened to all these on-board rescue teams Marc Klaas, team Amber? TES was willing to come but LE said no because that were investigating the homicide. That part is over so where the heck are they?

I still believe he is deep in the lake. Maybe get in contact with these people who have located many drowning victims.

I thought of something. Hope I don't regret saying this but maybe the police need to search at least one time around at night. Maybe he is hurt and hiding and scared to come out during the day and is coming back to the lake to drink and grab scraps from near the picnic tables to eat?

Secondly maybe I'm thinking to much into the Boston Bombers irratic behavior but maybe ask the boat yard to check the actual boats? Great place to catch some ZzZzz's

ETA: NO ONE other then police should check there at night.

I don't know...I'm with AnjL on this one, I think. I have a 19 year old brother and my parents keep a pretty loose leash on him. He goes off on trips alone and pretty much does whatever he wants to. BUT...if he were to have all the peculiar happenings happen to him the day before he seems to "disappear" for 10 hours or so, and then say he is going to hang with friends in an area where he isn't known to have friends....my mom would be all over his case questioning him. "Which friends?" "Where do they live?" "I didn't know you knew anyone out that way." (and if he said friends from college, the logical reply is "aren't they still at school?" considering it was only Thursday, not Labor Day weekend yet) Doesn't mean he would tell her, but she would ask. Perhaps Bryce's mom did ask but the questions were evaded?

BBM- yep this is what I'm thinking.

About Tim Miller who founded TES. Gene Ralston with his specialized sonar does work with Tim Miller. I saw it in another youtube video. Check out more of the TES video. Tim Miller never says no to a family who asks for help. They have more equipment and resources than any Law enforcement agency.

Thanks. Point taken, I will just keep my thoughts and theories to myself on here.

No need for that, were just discussing a possibility. I welcome any thoughts on what I post. Please keep on posting.

Frequently in these high/er profile cases LE holds regular PCs.

Have there been any LE PCs in this case? If not, why not?

What is PC?

Just a thought -- Is it possible that Bryce doesn't even know a single phone number without his cell phone 'contacts' to call someone for help? Especially seeing as how his parents moved to CA last year...

If nothing else, a group of searchers should go out and see what it looks like at night. I find that when I camp and arrive at night, I will often walk a different route when I am trying to get somewhere (say, the toilets) than I will the next day when I can see where everything is.
