I stumbled across this as well, but after researching today I found this:
http://www.chicoer.com/news/ci_24094715/police-probe-death-man-found-lindo-channel

So it seems they had that in mind, but ruled that out in first place.
I'm looking for further informations on that, but can't find any.

As much as all of us would probably like to hear your son's take on it, I think it's considered hearsay. Unless you're verified as an insider, you might be able to relay the information then.

ETA: Oops, looks like I was posting the same time as imamaze. :)

I know what you mean but I like to define hearsay just for "edumacation" sake since it's a term that is so misunderstood! Hearsay is any statement made outside a court and not under oath. Everything we link to on here, every statement made in a presser, it's all hearsay.

Honestly, trying not to be harsh or insensitive, but do a lot of folks seriously believe that Bryce is wandering around someplace, not knowing who he is or how to ask for help, for sixteen or so days now?

I have been thinking that, it is still possible but he may have just wanted to walk away from his life and start a new one. However I think he would have needed some help or had a plan. I think there are those out there that know more and are either hiding it or not being forthright with the powers that be.

The wandering around someplace part, I absolutely believe it's possible. Whether or not he knows who he is, maybe, maybe not.

I don't think he's dead.

I guess I don't get the impression that Bryce is the type was prepared to strike out and live rough, with no money, none of his "things" etc.

Some college-aged people are definitely into the idea of that kind of a life or adventure, but nothing looks that way about Bryce, from what little we know. Not saying he lived a pampered life per se, but seemingly a pretty comfy one and kids tend to grow pretty accustomed to their comforts and very attached to their belongings, IMO.

The possibility of an emotional or mental break is a valid one to me, as my brother basically "left" the world at aged nineteen when mental illness hit seemingly out of the blue. But his instincts were to run for the safety of his room at home, certainly not to be out and about having to forage for survival. Maybe Bryce was seeking home and then had the accident, but if he was okay, I still feel like he would try very hard to get there.

With no money who would be giving him food and drink? and wouldn't whoever been supplying this have seen a flyer or news by now? Unless someone took him in and has no idea of who he is nor is trying to find out.

I believe his is not alive. Either he drowned and is still in the lake or he met up with foul play and was killed in Buttonwillow or Castaic by a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or or drug dealer and buried him elsewhere. Perp could have taken his truck and drove it over the cliff as a ruse to make people believe he is around the lake area to throw the LE & searchers off from where they really disposed of him as to not be found. I know the dogs picked up his scent along the lake but it could have been a false positive hit.

Still waiting for the blood results but he could have been killed by the perp in his own truck if it were Bryce's and perp dumped or buried his body far from where it actually happened.

My intuition has always been pretty good. I hope I'm very wrong this time. I want him found safe and alive.

All of these scenarios and thousands more are possible, even likely. I choose to believe he is alive because if we all just wrap it up as "he's dead and buried", we stop having faith and stop looking. My choice to believe may very well seem irrational or fantastical but I will continue until his body is found to prove otherwise to me.

My choice to be delusional (if that is what I am). :)

I know of 2 homeless, mentally ill men who have lived in the vicinity of ASU since (at least) 1988 and they are alive and well (as they can be). It is not impossible.

MOO, JMO, IMO etc.

If he had been assaulted and killed I think his phone and maybe even the truck would be missing too.

I don't think so if they wanted to make it look like he had crashed and is there around the lake instead of where he's really at. Perp could be very familiar with the lake and have been picked up by the his accomplice on a back road. Lot of crime in that area. Bryce's dads car was broke into in the parking lot. Thugs hang around there.

I don't know just throwing ideas out there. Only god knows...

BBM If that is delusional, than I am as well.....I believe he is still alive.

Well yeah, of course Adderall doesn't always spell doom. Especially if it prescribed because then it likely would not have the speedy effect t has on people who don't need it.

But the thing is, Bryce is missing and his car was found crashed after he began acting very strangely. So given those circumstances, Adderall horror stories suddenly become relevant.

I didn't say they were irrelevant.
Just offering a bit of perspective.

I hope he is still alive, having LE in my family I tend to think the worst.

Was curious as to whether or not there had been any recent activity associated with his gaming name; the subject of online gaming friendships having possibly been formed was brought up.

Since he played with friends IRL, so I'm sure they would be reporting if there was any activity on his gaming account.

I don't know why people keep thinking that something significant happened in Buttonwillow. His mom sent the road side assistance guy back to check on him several hours later and he was still in the same spot, sleeping. Plus he was in Castaic..not only was his scent picked up but also he was on surveillance @ Castaic 1 minute or so after he talked to his mom and told her he was exiting the freeway to sleep. <modsnip>..Why did he run out of gas? That's weird to me in itself. Why wouldnt he just stop and get gas...why let it run all the way out...everyone knows there is nothing but gas stations, food and hotel/motels off of every exit on the interstate..also i agree that if he had any cash on him he wouldnt be putting a $1.70 charge on his card. No scenario really fits anything because where one scenario makes one part of the story fit or make some type of sense it raises questions somewhere else. There are A LOT of questions and not ONE scenario that provides a feasible explanation for every question even just in theory.

IIRC surveillance camera showed a person not necessarily Bryce. I watched a show about canine searches. They are not always correct as seen in other missing persons cases.

yes right but the surveillance at Castaic coincides with the call from his mom and also his scent was picked up there by the dogs three different times..He has been placed at Castaic.
