This is a strange one.
The partial skeletal remains were found in a clearing in a wooded area of Carlsbad. It notes that a long bone was found a few feet from his remains, they're not really clear if they think is his too or if there was another with him. A pink child's size jacket was found with the remains.
He himself is estimated to be a male between 5'0 and 5'5 in height.

Male? I wonder how that was confirmed. Very small waist & height for an adult male.

I wonder what size the child's PINK jacket is? I'm a 5'1" female. When I was in junior high and high school, my waist size was 26". I wonder if this could be a teenage female?

I guess DNA testing confirmed Male, since this was recent.

It looks toddler size but it would be helpful to know.

I also wonder if there is any connection between the jacket & the bones. The NAMUS entry doesn't say really explain other than proximity?

I'm not local but to me that doesn't look like the type of jacket a child in CA would wear at any time of the year, it looks very warm and padded.
