@Niner It has been continued due to COVID-19 to 6/17/2020 at 8:30 am. All is good here too. Scrambling to find masks now that we are supposed to wear them at all times when at work. Ugh hard to breathe with those N95 ones

Wednesday, June 17th:
*Trial Setting Hearing for both (@ 8:30am PT) - CA – Cecilia Bravo Cabrera (30) (last seen June 9, 2016, Lemoore, not found) - *Francisco Valdivia (37/now 39) (estranged husband) arrested (12/13/16), charged & arraigned (12/14/18) with 1 felony count of murder & arson. Plead not guilty. No bond.
*Rosaline Lopez (39/now 42) (FV’s 1st wife) arrested (12/13/16), charged & arraigned (12/14/18) with 1 felony count of being an accessory to murder after the fact. Plead not guilty. $500K bond.
Trial was set to begin 7/9/19 continued, no new date.
12/16/18 Update: Pretrial hearing on 1/25/19. Motions in Limine hearing on 3/11, trial set for 3/12/19. 1/25/19: Next pretrial conference hearing on 2/21. 2/21/19: Motion for continuance granted. Next pretrial hearing on 4/30, trial confirmation hearing on 7/8. Trial to start 7/9/19.
7/9/19 Update: Motion for trial continuance-granted. Next trial setting hearing on 8/14. 8/14/19: Reset trial setting hearing on 10/15. 10/15/19: Trial setting hearing reset again for 12/6. Delay is due to the DA trying to subpoena a key witness from Arizona. That is a long, complicated process as the court here doesn’t have authority to force a witness to appear if further than 75 miles from the place the witness has to appear. They have to get an Arizona court to issue the subpoena. 12/6/19: Hearing was continued to 1/24/20. 1/24/20: Hearing was continued to 3/6/20.
3/6/20 Update: Defense asks for continuance of hearing-granted. Now scheduled for 4/15. 4/15/20: Trial setting hearing on 4/15 has been rescheduled due to the coronavirus to 6/17/20.

Oh - question - this is for both of them or just Lopez? Since I see the date 12/1 - which matches up with the jail site. But Valdivia on the jail site is 1/15/21 for next hearing. Do they "meet" up somewhere - to have a trial for both on 1/25? TIA!

Okay I looked her up. She has a preliminary hearing SETTING on 12/1/2020 at 8:30 am. It doesn’t show her accessory after the fact charge in her case documents. Just shows a drug possession charge. She’s no where near going to trial as they have continued the preliminary hearing for the past 3 years. Makes me wonder if she’s going to testify for the state in exchange for them dropping the accessory charge. I also found that she posted a $150,000 bond back on 11/9/2016 and they turned around and added more charges raising her bond to $650,000. I guess we will find out her status when his trial starts on 1/25/2021. I also double checked and didn’t find any hearings on 1/15/2021 for him on the docket. Just the 12/1/2020 and the 1/22/2021 ones I posted about this morning.

She is still incarcerated. According to the court docket she posted the first bond of $150,000 but the DA added charges which raised her bond to $650,000 which hasn’t been posted. She shows up at the Tulare County jail.

@Niner There is a Sentencing and Report hearing on 1/14/21 at 8:30 am for Rosalina Perez Lopez. She plead at the 12/1 hearing so the trial is off. She must have plead guilty to one or more of the charges but the docket doesn’t show or say what those charges are other than “felony: other.”

You are very welcome. Sorry for the delay. It’s been a bit hectic around these parts. Looks like we are going back to stay at home here. Our ICU bed capacity fell to under 15% overnight. Christmas is going to be decimated. No households are allowed to gather with others. We are going to bring my mother to our house so she’s not stuck by herself for the next month. My dad passed away last month so it would be a double whammy for her not to see her kids and grandkids.
