Celso Madueno Astorga
Date of birth: 15 November 1988
At 2:44 am on 19 October 2012, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office received a call from the 10000 block East Road in Redwood Valley CA. Deputies responded, and found two gunshot victims of a home invasion. The victims' father had called 911. Also in the house were the victims' mother, grandparents, and a 7 year old child. Intruders had shot 23 year old Celso, killing him; his 19 year old brother suffered multiple gunshot wounds but survived.
There were twoand possibly threethieves. One of the two intruders who entered the home covered their face with a red hoodie and a black bandanna shielding the face. The racket the invaders made forcing entry attracted Celso from an in-law unit on the premises; when he entered the main house, he was shot dead.
The invaders were last seen leaving northward on East Road in a black Cadillac Escalade. Theft of the 21 medical marijuana plants and drying harvested pot in the Madueno residence seem to have been the thieves' goal.
