FAIRFIELD — The dead woman found Saturday morning in the back of a Fourth Street home has been identified by the Solano County Coroner’s Office as 19-year-old Cheynah D. Watson of Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD — Police are searching for the man they suspect killed a young Fairfield woman this past weekend.

A no-bail arrest warrant has been issued for Warren Sloan, 41, of Fairfield, police announced Thursday in a brief press release. Sloan has a history of violence and is considered dangerous, according to the release.

A Fairfield ex-con who savagely killed a 19-year-old woman in March 2012 was sentenced Thursday to 52 years to life in prison.

Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams, who successfully tried the murder case against Warren H. Sloan, 44, earlier this year, has said tattoos on Sloan’s arms epitomize the killer’s depth of hatred toward women that fueled murder.

The body of Cheynah Watson, 19, was found in the side yard of an abandoned Fourth Street home on the morning of March 31, 2012. She had been stabbed 26 times with a 10-inch butcher knife.

Warren H. Sloan, 47, agreed to take a prison sentence of 27 years and four months in exchange for pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter and using a gun to commit a homicide.

Sloan was ordered to return to court June 4 when he will be sentenced in connection with the shooting death of James.
