I dunno, but presumably most wives wouldn't consent to their husbands meeting a man in a motel for sex. There is also a risk of STDs that goes along with that type of behavior, that presumably most women wouldn't want to be subjected to.

By the way there were accounts set up after he died that collected quite a bit of money for his widow and daughter. I wonder if it was known how exactly he died, people would still have donated. Although I guess widow and daughter would need money regardless, especially considering she apparently became a stay at home mom so she didn't have a job.
