I'm hoping that his wife is able to put some pressure on him. By now, I would think, that's she's thinking something is not right with his story. Let's hope she pressures him to tell the truth.

He's got a half baked alibi cause his wife says he was home before daylight (basically) and a black eye to boot that he won't share with LE in how he got it.

well... I work right down the street from the casino, as I said before, so I travel that route EVERY work day! It only takes me 20 to 25 minutes to drive from there to my house in Auburn. So if he left at about 1:15am or so... then he SHOULD have been home at LEAST by 2am! And I live a bit past the city of Auburn... IF the news is correct and he DOES actually live here! :)

so... what do you all think... as soon as someone hears anything on this guy's identity or address... maybe I can do some sleuthing! with the Huz of course!

Any more 'new' news this morning? I just heard that they (police) have searched his home again! :waitasec: wonder what MORE they found??

On any missing ladies around here... not too many have made the news, but there is one missing from Reno. If this guy gambles, Reno is just up the road - well about 100 miles from Auburn - so... I'll look into that case and report back in a bit!

No need to yell. I think the titles of the different forums dealing with missing people can be confusing.
After moving a dozen posts I felt a raised voice to get attention was appropriate....I know it is confusing.....we will fix it and make it better than before :)

I haven't heard anything more today. Only what I heard last night on Rita Cosby was they found a hair in his car, that is probably Christie's. They are running more tests on it, but the preliminary tests have not ruled it out has being her hair.

Maybe he was kidnapped and they hit him in the eye to get him to hand over his keys. And they put her hair in his car. . . yeah that's his story.

(Ok just kidding.) I sure hope he just tells it straight.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tried that story!

"Person of Interest" Arrested on weapons charges

Updated: 10/15/2005

A 53-year-old man who is a "person of interest" in the disappearance of 27-year-old Christie Wilson was arrested Friday evening on weapons charges.

The Placer County Sheriff's Department confirmed today that the arrest was made at about 5:15 p.m. yesterday near the man's home. He was booked on two felony counts of illegal weapons possession. The charges stem from a search of the man's home conducted as part of the investigation into Wilson's disappearance.

According to the sheriff's department, bail for the man has been set at $1 million. The high amount is reportedly due to the suspect's past criminal history and concerns that he might be a flight risk.

Marcia Flavio Garcia Is In Custody On Unrelated Weapons Charge

PLACER COUNTY -- Deputies have arrested the man they say Christie Wilson left Thunder Valley Casino with on October 5th.

Mario Flavio Garcia was arrested near his Auburn area home Friday night. They took him in on felony weapons charges, after investigators uncovered un-registered weapons during a search.

Still authorities are playing it safe, only calling him a "person of interest."

"For us to name him a suspect at this point, we have to have a better level of probable cause other than the weapons charges. We still don't know if a crime was committed although we suspect it," said Lt. George Malim, Placer Co. Sheriff's Department.

WOW, didn't hear anything about this on the news yet. And I watched that new show The Line Up (It's replacing The Big Story) and they didn't have a word about Christie on there. I hope he tells them where she is now.

An Auburn man that police believe could be connected to the disappearance of a 27-year-old Sacramento woman is in custody on unrelated weapons charges, Placer County sheriff's officials announced Saturday.
Mario Flavio Garcia, 53, was arrested in Auburn on Friday evening after officers found guns and an illegal club during a search of his home and car, Placer County Sheriff's Lt. George Malim said.

Garcia, who Malim said works for a computer-related business, is charged with two felony counts of weapons possession and is being held in the Placer County jail on a $1 million bond.

Malim said the weapons charges are based on Garcia being an ex-felon, and the high bail reflects Garcia's history and possible connection to the Wilson case. He would not provide details of Garcia's record.

Authorities, who served a search warrant on Garcia's home Thursday, have not labeled him a suspect in Wilson's disappearance. "We still don't know for a fact that a crime was committed," Malim said.

Malim described Garcia as "uncooperative."
