I don’t think Jimmy is claiming that Christina’s body has been found, only that the police are now considering this to be a homicide case. The LAPD has stated that this transition hasn’t happened.

yeah, it sounds like he was probably told it is being considered/treated as a homicide but for legal purposes the PD has to deny she's dead if they haven't found her body.

the way it's been worded on both sides has (understandably) caused confusion when Jimmy said "she is dead" and LAPD "no she's not". they both probably just should've said something like "she remains missing and it's being considered as a potential homicide"
