Holifield murder case to begin October 2019, 21 years after Christina Williams went missing

"Salinas >> The first-degree murder trial of Charles Holifield in the kidnapping and death of Christina Williams will begin Oct. 7, 2019, 21 years after the 13-year-old girl disappeared while walking her dog near her home on Fort Ord.

Jeannine Pacioni, an assistant Monterey County district attorney and the district attorney-elect, said the trial will not begin for more than a year in part because the DA’s Office will pursue the death penalty. If Holifield were to be found guilty, the jury would then have to decide if Holifield’s sentence will be capital punishment or life in prison...."

I lived a few houses away from her when she disappeared. I will never forget getting a knock on my door from the police and asking me about Christina. I had actually seen her that day with a friend walking. I was a new mom and having this happen really shook me. I can't believe it is taking this long to give the Williams family justice.

Christina Williams:
A Case Never Solved,
The Two Missing Suspects

By Bob Oliver

Thirteen year old Christina Marie Williams was abducted on June 12, 1998, while walking her dog within 200 yards of her Fort Ord home.

Two eyewitnesses described two men and the car they were driving. The first witness overheard the driver say to the thinner man in the back seat, "Leave her alone. She isn't the 'type' we want." The second witness saw a frightened Christina Williams looking out the back window of the car as it pulled away.

Based on these eyewitness descriptions, it's likely police knew the exact spot from which she was taken, approximately 200 yards from the Williams residence. Search and rescue dogs were used to find the point at which her scent was lost.

Famous sketch artist Jeanne Boylan drew suspect sketches, which were circulated about 10 days after the abduction. Posters of the car and two men were so accurately drawn as to generate over 1,200 local leads during the first six weeks. Meanwhile, residents reported seeing the suspects periodically for up to six months after the abduction.

Three men who saw the suspects over that time told me they did go to the FBI with this information. They were positive the men were drug dealers operating out of an area near San Pablo Street, off Fremont Boulevard. I spoke to the men after they contacted the FBI, and they told me, "It was not a good experience. They (the FBI agents) didn't write anything down, and it was like they didn't want to hear what we had."

Holifield didn't do it. The top two suspects are from Christina's abduction on June 12,1998. The bottom two suspects are drawn from the Noelani Burleson Petaluma abduction on November 23,1998. Limited space on this blog does not allow the full story to be told here.

Seen you post on a few places for years, besides the eye witnesses accounts which can be notoriously inaccurate...any other reason why you feel this way? Wonder what prompted Holifields arrest, DNA?

Holifield is being framed. Originaltwo suspects and dark frown car used in Nolelani Burleson abduction in Petaluma on November 23, 1998. This is a cover-up and frame. Holifield is the Patsey. It has been a 20 year campaign to frame Holifield.

I am interested in hearing what you you have to say. I saw other post out there made by you and it appears you feel pretty strongly about this.

Monterey County DA’s Office to proceed pursuing death penalty against Charles Holifield – Monterey Herald

The District Attorney’s Office filed charges, including first-degree murder with special circumstances for kidnapping and sexual assault, against Holifield in April 2017 after a match was made on DNA extracted by the Justice Department. A Monterey County cold case team requested items of physical evidence be retested after looking for new leads and re-examining crime scene evidence in 2016.

Mostly about Newsom's moritorium on the death penalty.

Bumping up this quote of mine.

Maybe @cybervampira - can you get into Monterey County? TIA! :)
