IMO the boys were never in cal city- something terrible happened in Bakersfield due to TW’s strictness and cruelty and TW came up with a plan to include putting time and space between the family and what happened in CYA mode. I reckon JW was complicit/enabling. Again MOO
I’m just so glad they won’t get away with it.

IIRC, the family moved out to Cal city in September. If the boys were never with them (at least alive) when they moved, why do you think they waited until December to report them missing? I know some folks think it was maybe because the boys would have been expected to be seen during Christmas. I do think the AA will shine some light on the timing. Overall, I'm glad they were finally arrested, since we all knew already, they were full of it.

It sounded like TW may have had some paranoid tendencies so perhaps he wanted to wait as long as possible. I can’t help but wonder if they would be arrested if they never called police but just lied to everyone about who was caring for them since they were already adopted there would be less scrutiny. Glad they came up with a plan that pointed to their guilt.

The fear put in the remaining 4 children to lie to LE must be so deep and traumatizing

Thank you everyone for sharing the news. I just checked in at the last thread and saw the arrest info.
I think so many of us were hoping so much that they wouldn't be forgotten. The news is tough and IMO the details will be tougher to read, but they mattered to us strangers and they will get justice.

That is one impressive D.A. Kudos to the D.A.'s office and all the LE agencies involved. It's clear they were determined to bring this case forward, and they have.

I think we are going to have to brace ourselves, I think the facts in this case are going to be very disturbing.

This article explains some of the rationale for keeping the actual grand jury proceedings secret at the time and the evidence presented secret when no charges result. What I was unable to understand from this article is why once a grand jury finds justification for charges, why the evidence presented continues to remain secret. Does anyone here have that insight? Cal city is ever more barren. I'm working about 10 miles south of there and archeologists found a buried body on our job site. Growing up as a kid out here in the general area, they would find bodies all the time.

im jazzed that the bio dads law suit may have opened up better info. i just hope their lil bodies can be found and laid to rest respectfully after the disrespect they lived through. TWO kids, you killed BOTH of them!!!
