DETAILS OF NEWS RELEASE: On 3-6-22, the Sheriff's Office received a report from a family member of an at-risk missing person out of Heritage Ranch. Clayton Endes is described as a 32-year-old White male adult.

The family member last made contact with Endes on 3-4-22. At that time, it's believed Endes was having a mental health crisis. When Deputies responded to his residence in Heritage Ranch, Endes was not at the location, but his vehicle was still in the driveway, and he had left his personal and work phones at the residence. Neighbors reported that Endes had asked them if they could look after his dog for a couple days while he went on a walkabout.

Endes was last seen by his neighbors near his backyard in a creek bed. Endes was wearing all black clothing with a black jacket and black beanie. Endes is 5' 10" tall, 190 pounds, bald with blue eyes. The Sheriff's Search and Rescue team has been searching the area since this morning but the Sheriff's Office needs the public's help. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, please contact the Sheriff's Office at 805-781-4550.

ugh heartbreaking
I think they're going to eventually find him deceased in the woods :(

ETA: what is a couple day walkabout? strange description imo.
he looks so sad in that ID pic :(

Yea. Sadly I don’t think he has any intention of returning. No one walks off in the woods for a couple of days empty handed. Poor guy. I hope I’m wrong. MOO.

His family has said he’s an avid outdoorsman, and where he lives in heritage ranch is pretty rustic so going on a hike/being in the creek Ed makes sense. The confusing part for me is leaving in the middle of the night to hike

Appears that several searches have been conducted. One included the help from Monterey Co SAR, SLO Co SAR, and Fresno Co SAR.

Banners have also been placed in various roadside areas with his missing info on them.

Family and friends continue search for missing man - Paso Robles Daily News

March 13, 2022
Family and friends have not given up hope of finding Heritage Ranch resident Clayton Endes.

It’s believed Endes was having a mental health crisis, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

For more than a week now, friends and relatives have been searching for him.

A group has been meeting in the parking lot of Oak Hill Market in Heritage Ranch to coordinate search efforts and provide food and water to some 30 volunteers. They are distributing and posting missing person fliers and reviewing maps of areas searched.

Volunteers and the San Luis Obispo County Search and Rescue Team have used boats to search the perimeter of Lake Nacimiento. Others have driven the backroads around the lake, looking for Endes, and posting fliers.

We’re hearing from the parents of a missing Heritage Ranch man.

Michael Endes says he last spoke with his son, Clayton on Friday, March 4 but he couldn’t get a hold of him on Saturday or Sunday.

His dog was left behind along with his pickup truck and his work and personal cell phones.

On Thursday, Search and Rescue stopped their efforts because they haven’t found any clues.

Appears a fb page has been set up

Some comments there that he is a real cave lover, and apparently there are some caves in the area. I wonder if those have been thoroughly searched?
