Bumping for Corin.

According to The White Pages, there's a Linda Brackelsberg in Grand Junction, CO, that is in her 60s, could be Corin's mother.

I also found a Mark Brackelsberg, 65, and a Joshua Brackelsberg, 34, both from Grand Junction as well. Might be his father and brother.

Bump. Still can't find any articles etc. Strange. Seems like nobody is missing him...I'm sure there are friends and family that are hurting though.

Hi! I’m new here. I signed up because I wanted to let the caring people on this thread know; I wonder what happened Corin Paul Brackelsberg -we called him Cory. I knew him personally in Grand Junction, Co. He was best friends with my older brother. Cory was highly intelligent. He was valedictorian at GJHS in 1994? He received a scholarship to Harvey Mudd. When he disappeared he was just starting his masters?

Cory was kind. I remember him being at our house when my older brother was being a jerk, Cory said to my brother “why do you have to be such a dick to your little sister”.

My brother and Cory went different directions after high school. Cory did often stop and visit me when he came home to GJ 1997-1999.

My mom told me about Cory missing. I figured he was tired of university and was just going to take a well deserved gap year. My mom said “if you ever go missing I’d spend my life finding you”. I figured Cory would pop up.

It’s true his family didn’t make much effort to find him. Maybe they know something we don’t? I’ve always been hesitant to post about Cory just because I figured his family knows more than I do.

What’s strange is his missing Wagoneer. I remember it. It was big and bulky. It wasn’t a vehicle to just disappear.

One of the photos of him is obviously a mug shot. I wonder what that was about?

Anyways, thanks for posting about Cory. He was really smart and sweet.

I think I was in college in Phoenix Arizona when I heard about it. It was so long ago I barely remember, but I think my mom or dad told me in a conversation. We used to call each other every week or so for a while.

I remember I was told some people, like probably my dad and Grandpa, went to Harvey Mudd college where he lived in a dorm to investigate for a little while and talked to the police and I think some people from the Harvey Mudd campus They may have hired a private investigator too but I can't remember for sure. It's so long ago I barely remember what I was told about it.

I got a call or two from the police asking if I knew anything about it. the call or two I got were pretty short. I did not know anything more than they did. During the call I got many years later from the police I felt like I was the biggest suspect. I can't remember the conversation but I think he asked me where I was when he went missing.

What I was told by my family was that there were no clues. The jeep never came up.

I was also told some one or some people Cory knew from campus said Cory would go to Tijuana for the weekends sometimes in the jeep and it's most likely he went missing there.

Now that I think about it If anyone knows my mom you could try asking for Cory's old social security number and maybe even his old drivers license number if she has it from her and try to track that somehow. I think she's got the same phone number from before. I don't talk to any of my family anymore but if he went missing in Mexico then there's always a chance his personal info was taken to create a new identity for someone else by now.

That's the only thing I can think of to use as a possible clue. I'll call the police and see if they can look into it.
