One reason I might take my boots off in that sort of weather is to improve my grip, but then I’d take my socks off too and I don’t think socks were found? Could she have dropped something and tried to retrieve it?

fine with a homeless woman he was aware about. Guaranteed he wouldnt like the idea of her drinking alcohol under the bridge with a homeless man she just met an hour ago.
I don't think we know how the boyfriend would think regarding this situation so not sure you can guarantee he wouldn't like it. He may not like it at all but we don't know that as fact. He said they have a great relationship and he knows how outgoing and friendly she is so maybe it wouldn't be a big deal to him. MOO

Maybe she wasn't wearing socks.

Maybe she wasn't wearing socks.

That’s a possibility. I have family who does not wear socks with boots, if they are lined well. Still not sure of what type of boots she had on. MOO

Maybe, but chances are you’d cut your feet up wearing smart ankle boots like that without them. It wouldn’t be comfortable at all.

He actually alluded to not liking the idea in the interview. He was unaware of the homeless man because she had barely just met the guy that night. I dont know 100%, but I believe 100% he wouldnt of liked or approved of the idea. I dont kmow a single man who would be ok with what she was doing.

Did you see the recent news video? They showed the boots. Both on her at the store and off under the bridge I presume. They are kind of casual, short heel(1-2 inch maybe), suede like casual-dressy types. Not water or work boots one might suspect to be wearing in the rain and working in the rain.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

I think in this situation, the homeless convict recently released, whom she was having alcoholic drinks with who she didnt know until the hour previously, is the top suspect or cause of her missing. One way or another. Secondly, she slipped and fell in while he wasn’t there.

No. I missed that. I’ve been trying to figure them out from the photo, which isn’t the best nor clearest. Thanks for the updated info.

Last person to see her.
Male.
Criminal record sufficiently bad to involve a period of time in prison.

These are all very relevant reasons to consider him a worthwhile person of interest.

Fair enough. Why accentuate recently released?

It wasn’t my post but I’ll answer. Because recidivism is high, and because it leans towards the possibility of a relatively recent pattern of criminal behaviour.

Yes, but just because he is homeless and recently released from prison does not make him any more dangerous than you and I.

I respectfully disagree. The demographics don't support that statement. MOO

I consider people who were just released from prison exceptionally dangerous. Sorry.

I would agree, but we don't know why he was incarcerated. Don't jump to conclusions.

Hey everyone,

If someone is being offensive, do NOT respond. It makes our job that much harder when we have to go through pages and pages to find all the responses. What starts out with one rude post ends up with us having to remove over 20 back and forth posts. Members who respond run the risk of losing privileges for doing so.

Carry on with respectful, civilized discussion of Crystal's case and please just Report offensive posts without responding. Let Mods or Admins handle it rather than bicker.

Thank you.

How do I report an offensive post? I'm relatively new here.

If the homeless man went back to 7-11 a second time without her to get alcohol shouldn’t the 7-11 have that on tape?
If his story is true?
Who paid for his alcohol the first time? Him or her? Did he have money to pay for alcohol either time?
If he was on video a second time what time was it and did he have her wallet?
I assume the police have done this checking. valid concerns

The boots found under the bridge are definitely the boots she was wearing in the 7-11 photo?
