CA - CSI Star Attakcs TMZ Photographer

I was under the impression that she threw a tantrum about the "direction of her character" and demanded more money, which she got. Then she wanted MORE money the season after that, and they released her. I didn't care for her at the end of her time on the show though. I wanted to smack her most of the time.
And on topic, I don't think I could have paparazzi following me (or my kids) and NOT freak out. I couldn't handle it. Good thing I'm not famous.

I gotta defend my favorite CSI actress . Actually, Jorja left because she was burned out, basically. She has been doing TV steadily since her ER days, possibly earlier, I don't know. She and the producers split ways amiably, and the producers have said she is always welcome to come back. I did have something to do with money, but that was only part of it. Jorja herself seems really down to earth, to me anyway, and not the type to throw tantrums.

Who knows? I tend to favor pro-Jorja sites and message boards.

Regardless, the dynamic of CSI is changing. It's about time to throw in the towel. They've had 8 good seasons; if they have another one, they should stop while it's still good.

This doesn't surprise me... he has been on this train wreck of a ride for quite some time, now. This isn't the first time he has struck out at the paparazzi in a way that was uncalled for... and it has long been rumored that he has a serious drug issue. I guess the rumors are now valid. Sad... the man has a lot going for him, when he isn't drugged and acting like a jerk... too bad he prefers to live in the underbelly of the dark side of Hollywood.

CSI is my favorite show. I just LOVE it. All of them! I can't even bear to think of it going off the air. I don't know what Gary's problem is but he needs to knock off his crap. He got way too much going for him to throw it all away. I am not perfect I have made my fair share of mistakes,bad judgement calls or whatever you want to call it but there comes a time when you have to grow up and do the right thing.

Although, I think this attack was unprovoked because, lets face it, this guy isn't a huge star and the paparazzi probably was not there for him but bigger celebs. When you consider people like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts who are trying to live a relatively normal life and don't do things like call the paparazzi to photograph them - like some people(Britany Spears), don't go to place they know are popular hang-outs, I can't blame them. There is a real issue with right to privacy here. Could you imagine trying to take your kids to school and being followed by 10 cars who then mob you and your children while you try to make it across the parking lot? It should be illegal. IMO it is equivalent to stalking. I know people say they choose to be in this line of work but so what? They wanted to be an actor or a singer that doesn't mean they wanted to be followed and photographed constantly. I think if I had my children with me and these people were in my face screaming, taking pictures, screaming my CHILD"s name I would flip out too. Come on, camping out side someone's house, following them everywhere they go, jumping out in front of them taking their pictures as they walking in somewhere, cutting in front of them in traffic to get a better shot, climbing up in trees to take pics of them in their own backyards is stalking and it is extremely dangerous.
On the other hand, if you go to a celeb hotspot it is known there are going to be photogs their and so it is expected they are going to take your pic. If you don't like, don't go. It sounds to me like this dude was high and looking for a fight so he attacked this guy - which of course, is uncalled for and unacceptable. Now if this photog had been following him around all day and he attacked him I would feel totally different.

Resident "CSI" douchebag Gary Dourdan pulled a Woody Harrelson last night -- unleashing a brutal, unprovoked attack on a TMZ cameraman outside of the most celeb-packed nightclub in Hollywood.

Clad in leather biker gear, Dourdan violently grabbed our photog outside Hyde, who the actor had mistaken for another guy, and slammed him to the pavement several times, sending his head bouncing into concrete over and over again -- all while his camera continued to roll.

The chaos began after Dourdan pulled up to the club on his Ducati motorcycle, and shouted at the photog to "get that f**king camera out of my face!" The photog obliged, pointing the camera to the ground -- but Dourdan's rage continued to grow, and the cameraman kept the record button on just in case something happened. Moments later, something happened.

As Dourdan launched his attack, other paparazzi can be heard screaming at Gary, desperately trying to make him stop. If someone asks you to stop filming them, then they should stop. I don't blame Gary for lashing out. I was just on the TMZ site and Jamie Spears couldn't even put her groceries in the car without being filmed. She is tired and hugely pregnant, yet she can't even leave without being harassed. It is getting stupid. We ALL KNOW SHE IS PREGNANT...so leave her the HECK alone!

She looked soooo uncomfortable and was so embarrassed. You could tell by the way she was acting. I feel sorry for her. She is NOT her sister. She doesn't have to be in the limelight all the time. You can tell she seems to want a more normal life. She shouldn't have to pay for the sins of her sister.

The photogs seem to think the stars are owned by them. They need to leave the stars alone.

I was just thinking the other day after Quest from CNN was arrested - I wonder how many anchors/actors are on drugs. O/T but watching Shep Smith - can someone always be that charged up every day and not be on something?

I used to be addicted to alcohol, but since I sought treatment and recovered I have a new zest for life and often feel overjoyed to be alive and no longer slave to a bottle. :woohoo: :crazy: :woohoo:
I can't speak for Shep, but maybe he feels the same way; grateful to be alive and healthy and still have a kick-a** career!

Jilly, you'd be amazed at the number of "celebs" that are addicts. Vocalists, models, actors. You name it. Sometimes I think it's more difficult for them to kick it because they have money and they have connections. If you're famous enough of course you're going to have a dealer and cronnies that will cop for you. Endless supply. People wanting to get in your circle and good graces they'll supply ya. It's really sad. I always think of poor Judy Garland. The exec's supply her as a young girl. Give her something to lose weight and make her perform more hours. Then something to help her sleep. There you go. It happens all the time out in Hollywood, and on Broadway. Think Owen Wilson. People were shocked the guy is a heroin addict. He got to the set. He made appearances, and he dated Goldie's daughter. Who'd have thunk it. Paula Abdul now she's another story. Her drugs may be pharmaceuticals and prescribed for pain, but hello. Poor woman's been whacked for so long people just take it that's her personality.

Did anyone watch CSI Miami finale on Monday? I fell asleep 15 min before it ended. I've heard Horatio got shot. Is he leaving? Anyone know?

Not doing well this week at all - I tried to watch bits of Criminal Minds while AI was on last nite. Did anyone watch? I saw a Van blow up but have no idea who was in it. Anyone know?

I don't know who's SUV blew up...guess we have to wait for that one. If I had recorded it I might be able to tell which SUV it was, or not. I think it's the pregnant woman for some reason.

This is embarrassing but I don't even know what tivo is other than it's like a VCR?:blushing: I have a new VCR but dh has never got around to programming it so I can tape. I never really have the need.....until last nite. I've got to get him onto it.
