Video shows violent family fight at Disneyland as stunned parkgoers try to intervene
Video shows violent family fight at Disneyland as stunned parkgoers try to intervene
A violent brawl that was captured on video broke out Saturday among family members at Disneyland as horrified parkgoers ushered children past the melee and bystanders tried to separate the fighters.

Police responded to the park after a verbal confrontation between family members visiting Mickey’s Toontown escalated to a physical fight, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

Wyatt said the family involved in the melee was “uncooperative” with authorities. There was no video available at the time, so police did not make any arrests. Video of the brawl has since surfaced on social media.

“Now that we have the video, detectives will be following up to see if any criminal charges can be filed,” Wyatt said.

Another man steps in, and the two men start throwing punches at one another, the video shows. Children are heard crying in the background as the adults continued to scuffle. Over the course of nearly five minutes, several members of the family become involved in the fight, the video shows.

...

A woman riding a motorized scooter, who was also part of the group, intervened to try to stop the scuffle but was knocked to the ground. Two people helped her up as the fight between other members of the family continued.

“I’m ready to go to jail tonight,” the man wearing the red shirt yells in the video.

Less than a minute later, the man is seen in the video punching one of the women he thought hit his mother. The woman is knocked to the ground and the man drags her by her hair across the pavement in the video. Several bystanders intervene to pull him off, the video shows.

Disneyland security arrives shortly after and breaks up the fight, the video shows. The individuals involved in the scuffle were immediately removed from the park, said Liz Jaeger, a spokeswoman for the Disneyland Resort.

I cannot believe no arrests have been made/charges filed yet considering the video is close to 5 minutes long and their is physical fighting going on throughout the entire video.

“Police believe there is the possibility of felony conduct,” Orange County District Attorney spokesperson said.

“[Tuesday], the Anaheim Police Department presented the case from Disneyland to @OCDAToddSpitzer for review and prosecution,” the tweet said.

If the district attorney’s office decides not to file felony charges, then the case will be referred to the Anaheim city attorney, who can then weigh misdemeanor charges.

Police said they didn’t arrest the family because they didn’t have video at first. It wasn’t until the footage got posted online Sunday that they began probing the incident.

Charges have been filed. I'm very happy about that.

"Avery Robinson, 35, his sister, Andrea Robinson, 40, and her husband, Daman Petrie, 44.

While leaving the premises, Avery Robinson is accused of attempting to hit a Disneyland employee with his vehicle and threatening to kill his sister and her husband while simulating a gun with his hand.

Prosecutors argue Robinson's actions endangered his own child, as well as three other children who were at Disneyland with the family when the fight broke out. He faces five felony counts, including domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon and nine misdemeanors and faces up to seven years and four months in state prison, if convicted.

Andrea Robinson, of Compton, faces five misdemeanors, including four charges of battery for attacking her brother, Avery, his girlfriend and a Disneyland employee. She faces a maximum of 2.5 years in jail if convicted on all counts.

Daman Petrie, also of Compton, faces one misdemeanor count of battery for allegedly punching Avery Robinson’s girlfriend in the face during the altercation. He faces a maximum of six months in jail if convicted."

I also hope they all lose their kids.
Those kids were horribly traumatized and it changed their brains in ways we might not fully know.

If this is how the parents act in public God knows what happens behind closed doors. Hopefully there are relatives better suited to care for their kids.

Domestic violence is considered child abuse in the state of California and can subject parents to losing their kids if they perpetrate it or allow their kids to be exposed to it (like a victim who refuses to leave the situation with his or her kids).

Damn! My thoughts—
Don’t act like trash in public.
How much money that was spent and wasted when they got ejected. (When we went in 2017, it was $100 per person per day.)
Is the lady who was originally in the Jazzy chair but later is standing then gets knocked down by her family (I assume) going to sue?
