I know they did in the beginning. Someone was even taking food to the homeless, hoping to see Dane. I don't know what efforts are being made at this point, though. I haven't seen any news on this young man in quite some time.

I just watched a show on Paramount called Never Seen Again that is about a handful of different missing people and their stories. Dane was one of the stories, as well as Ashley HeavyRunner. It is what prompted me to check out this site.

New Video And Leads Emerge On Missing Person Dane Elkins

Four years after his disappearance, the family of missing UC Santa Cruz student Dane Elkins has released a new video and is following two new leads.

The newly released video is Elkins’ final social media post from 2020 that gives insight into his mindset before his disappearance. In the video, Elkins talks about CIA recruitment and being given a passport.

Deborah Elkins is currently experiencing a surge in reported sightings of her son. However, she maintains a skeptical stance, attributing the majority of these reports to individuals who bear a striking resemblance to her son.
