Today is Daphne's Webb's second birthday. It has been 90 days since she was reported missing by her father, John Anthony Webb.
VP: Father says she was stolen from his car but the family says they hadn't seen baby Daphne for weeks before the alleged incident.
Break
VP: Daphne was left with grandma in car while Dad went into a store to buy a drink. When he came out minutes later, the car seat is slightly out of place, and the baby is gone.
JG: Two teams are still actively involved in investigating Daphne's disappearance from two different angles. Getting sporadic information.
HL: Grandmother suffers from dementia. There were unconfirmed reports of a little girl who resembled Daphne being seen with a woman in the area of the store. These supposed sightings of Daphne and an abductor, did not lead to anything. This is an area in which there are many young children and young mothers.
VP: (to RR) What does the family think of father's story? Do you have a relationship with the father?
RR: Daphne has now been missing for 90 days. The way the dad says things happened that day is suspicious. He's last person to have seen her. To have someone walk up and snatch a baby out of the car at this location in broad daylight doesn't make sense to me. I didn't have a relationship with him prior, so I have no relationship now.
VP: Has the father been cooperating with the investigation?
JG: Will not comment on dad's cooperation because the investigation is still ongoing.
VP: Abduction means there is hope because there's a possibility that Daphne is still alive and may be reunited with her family.
MK: The father's story is too convenient. He parks in a location where there are no security cameras. The father deserves to be under more scrutiny.
MG: Points out that it has not been proven that the father knew there were no security cameras when he parked his car. The father is not a suspect, but it's difficult for someone to cooperate with LE when he might become a suspect. Would advise someone in this situation to cooperate with LE to a point, but, otherwise keep your mouth shut.
Break
VP: Was Daphne really kidnapped? How about Daphne's mother? What is her role in this?
HL: Kiana Davis is not a suspect in this case and her drug rehabilitation is not an issue in the situation. She has appeared at many vigils and functions in support of her daughter.
VP: Is the family frustrated with where the search is now? Do they think there will be a reunion with Daphne?
RR: The family is aware of LE's investigation. The family handed out flyers in area where Daphne was reported missing as well as the areas where the parents reside. The family does have hopes of bringing her home. "We don't know where to search at this point. We're at a loss as to what to do next or where to turn to."
VP: What would a child this young be thinking about what is happening to her?
BM: There would be confusion in mind of a child. Her whole world would have been turned upside down. One attachment system has been destroyed, now a second one could be destroyed as well.
