Found Deceased CA - David Bernal-Medina, 33, La Mesa, 5 April 2017

  • #21
"Police said someone called and reported a body in the 2900-block of Camino Del Rio North about 4 p.m. Tuesday. They would not confirm that the body is Bernal-Medina. They have only said that the body is that of a man and his death does not appear to be suspicious. Regardless, the family told 10News that the body is, in fact, that of Bernal-Medina.

Boroquez*says she is upset police did not find his body sooner, considering he was lying just feet from the crash site where his car was recovered 12 days ago.

The medical examiner will determine how Medina died."

We we heard this before... Lying just feet away...

This is getting to be unforgivable. I'm sorry. If a family member of mine ever goes missing after a wreck, I will search area myself despite what any first responder says. He lay there for 2 weeks? Unacceptable!
What if he was injured? Completely unacceptable.

I've only been on WS for a couple months maybe and have already seen enough similar examples to think, "they'll probably find him surprisingly close to his vehicle after a surprisingly long time ". I guess I don't know the area but it sure does sound like terribly insufficient searching.

In this case didn't the family say they weren't notified by police of his vehicle being found until a week later or something? So even if injured he probably would not have still been saved after that long.. sad all around :(
