61-year-old David Smith was last seen in Clovis near Bullard/Minnewawa on 02/02/22. Information shows he was in Squaw Valley on 02/03/22. If you have information on his whereabouts, call us at (559) 324-2800. CPD Case 22-6428.
He may be lost or stranded because he is a stroke survivor and suffered brain damage so he gets confused sometimes.

Missing Clovis man, considered at-risk

A family is worried about a Clovis man who has not been seen since early Thursday morning and is now considered to be at-risk.

David Smith was seen leaving his apartment around 2:00 a.m. and did not take his phone.

He has a black 2004 GMC Sierra pickup with license plate number 7M96824.

According to his card transactions, he went to Cressman's General Store in Shaver Lake on Thursday at 230 p.m. and then Squaw Valley Trading at 4:47 p.m.

How sad…

Police say Smith was found dead Monday after Fresno County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team located his body near Hume Lake.


On Sunday, Smith’s truck was located near the day-use area of Hume Lake.

There were no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances when the body was located, police say.
