Many schools here got out the second week of June (on the 8th). If her kids went to one that got out and they were staying with their dad then they wouldn't know exactly when she went missing.

There are a lot of canals between the home in Hanford and where her van was found in south Fresno. The water has been running very swiftly this year due to all the rain and then the snow runoff we have.
good point seeker-there's also the kings river between hanford and fresno that runs pretty swiftly-it would have been easy to throw her over the railing and dump her in the river.. a lot of people go floating down that river. i bet that's where her body turns up. or heck, she could be dumped in the middle of an orchard or crops of some sort-there's so many fields on the drive from hanford to fresno. i feel so sorry for her and her kids. so sad.

Injured lawyer talks about missing client
Aguirre spoke to CBS 47 Tuesday and said he still fears for his life. “Nobody’s been caught.” “So there’s somebody out there that would like me to be dead. That’s scary,” he added. He said Hawk called him after he was shot and asked whether he thought her ex-husband could have been to blame. But he said Hawk was one of about ten clients who had the same question.

Organization Joins Search for Missing Hanford Mother
On Friday, Kim Petersen of the Carol Sund-Carrington Foundation traveled to Hanford to announce a $5,000 donation to help find Hawk, bringing the total reward to $15,000. The organization, which was formed after the 1999 Yosemite murders, has aided hundreds of families in their search for loved ones, including Laci Peterson.

Also from that article:

"People that live around where Debbie lives, if you have information regarding last Monday night, last Tuesday, we want to hear about it, especially if you have not talked to an officer yet," said Investigator Darren Matteson.

If anyone reading here knows anything at all, please contact police. You might know something that you don't even realize is important. Next week is Debbie's birthday. It's going to be a tremendously difficult day for her children without knowing what happened to their mother.

Home Searched in Missing Woman Investigation

Hanford police spent over seven hours at Dave Hawk's home Saturday. They have been looking for any sign of his ex-wife, Debbie Hawk, since June 13th.

Hanford police pulled up to Dave Hawk's home Saturday morning, bringing with them ATVs and a search dog. They declined to say why they were there or say what they were looking for, but Hawk has been called a person of interest in the disappearance of his ex-wife.

While police spent their day at her ex-husband's home, Hawk's friends spent the morning passing out flyers, still hopeful she'll be found alive.

I really hope they find her soon - for her children's sake.

This case really bothers me - probably cuz it's so close to home. Doesn't it sound alot like that Darren Mack case where he was just arrested in Mexico?
The ex-wife killed and her lawyer shot.

I think poor Debbie is dead and the ex had something to do with it, as well as the assult on her lawyer.

Does anyone know how old the kids are? The articles keep mentioning that the kids came home and found blood in the house so that gives me the impression that they might be older, and walked themselves into the house when they got back. If they're very young, I would expect their father to at least walk them to the door or to make sure he saw their mother greeting them before driving off.

I was thinking about this case before signing on this morning, and I was starting to lean toward this being related to her work. With the stolen license plate being put on her van, the van being found abandoned, etc., it seems so possible that this could be a robbery by experienced thieves. But hearing that investigators were at her ex's house for 7 hours yesterday has me back on the fence.

ABC30.com: Police Search Homes in Missing Woman Investigation

... Hanford police say after seven hours of searching, they collected bags of evidence from Dave Hawk's Lemoore home.

Officers served a warrant on Saturday to search his 60-acre ranch.

"At approximately 7:00am, we served a search warrant at the residence of Dave Hawk. We were looking for any information that may lead us to the whereabouts of Debbie Hawk," said Lieutenant Darrell Smith, from the Hanford Police Department...

On Saturday, the 15, 14 and 10-year-olds (Debbie's children) were taken away as officers searched the (husband's) house.

Police say they've searched less than a half a dozen other homes in the investigation. They say it was the second time they had searched Dave Hawk's house.

They say Hawk first gave officers permission to search his place without a warrant the night Debbie Hawk was reported missing. Police would not say what led to the second search of Hawk's home...

KMPH - Local News - Debbie Hawk's Attorney Speaks Out

Kim Aguirre says he wouldn't be surprised to find out if there is a link between the person who shot him and his client's disappearance.
The divorce attorney says he knows someone wants him dead.
There's been two attempts against him.
First, someone shot five rounds of bullets into his office window, two days later, he was shot in the back of his neck.
Kim Aguirre says he's added extra security around his Fresno office after someone tried to kill him earlier this month...
The couple's kids reported their mother missing...
Aguirre says ... Dave Hawk ... is a typical husband and describes him as "non aggressive".

LE is looking at ex-husband.

Not saying what was found during second search of husband's house nor are they saying what they were looking for - only that it's something that will further their case in looking for Debbie Hawk.

Children were with father that night. Oldest is around 15; they are very traumatized so it's hard to say what LE has gotten out of the kids. Kids know that father is being looked at as POI. Children are the ones that found the house in disarray, blood on floor - but no idea where mom went or why.

LE's looking again in the area where the van was found.

JFI there are several "persons of interest" that the Hanford PD are looking at, not just her ex husband.

The kids are back at the dad's house. Noone is staying in Debbie's house that I've heard of.

Also a man's body was discovered in an orchard over the weekend. Homicide detectives are working the case as he apparently had traumatic injuries. Don't know if the cases are connected, but it's being looked into as a possibility as well.

More as I hear it and have the opportunity to post.

Our group will be searching this weekend. Planning on a 50 mile radius around/between her home and the location her van was found in. Hoping to get someone with air search capabilities to pinpoint possible locations to save time.

He has 60 acres??? Get the dogs out there and go over that property or this case might just end up just like the Amanda Jones case.

That's what I've been reading from articles as well. LE also has said on many ocassions that he has been very cooperative. In the post above, I was just typing information from the Greta van Susteren show as they were saying it.

ABC30.com: Police Checking Leads in Missing Woman Case

Police say it could be at least a few days before they have any new information about a missing woman in the South Valley...

"We're up to about 100 leads in this case, in addition to that there are phone tips that are coming in daily that we need to evaluate and look at. In addition to that, we have a lot of physical evidence that we have to go through..."

Husband Accused of Stealing from Children's Trust Fund

Court records show Debbie Hawk was scheduled to go to court next month in Kings County for a custody hearing.

She was also about to publicly blame her ex-husband from taking money from their children's trust funds.

In 2004, she said the accounts had over $51,000 in them. A year later, the funds dropped to $23,000. And in 2006, she claimed there's now just over $11,000 in them.

To this day, Dave Hawk has refused to provide those financial records to the court.

Investigators say allegations of him stealing money from his children's trust funds is concerning. They say if Hawk took the money, they do not know what he did with it. Bank accounts show he had little or no income over the last four years.

He said that he used some of it to pay some doctor or dental bills for the children but didn't account for the rest of the money. If he had little or no income over the last four years what was he doing for money...his kids trust fund? Just because his bank accounts don't show any money doesn't mean he doesn't have any. He probably kept it where Debbie couldn't find it. I heard that they were going back into court as she wanted more time with the kids and more support.
