In her surprise new single, “Sober,” Lovato seems to say she has relapsed after six years of sobriety. She sings in the ballad’s confessional hook, “Momma I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor / To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober.” Lovato uses the rest of the song to apologize to her fans, including the ones whose support she fears she may lose for good: “I’m sorry for the fans I lost, who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”

Update (5:23 p.m.): A source also denies to People that Lovato suffered a heroin overdose. NBC reports an “unspecified narcotic” caused the apparent drug overdose.

This makes me so, so, so sad. She can afford the once a month, long-acting naltrexone injection which would her from getting high and keep her off opioids. Her friends should FORCE her to take it once a month.

DEMI LOVATO OD NOT FROM HEROIN

The source would not reveal what drug caused her to OD, but as we reported she was given Narcan, which is used to counter the effects of opioids.
Lovato had previously struggled with cocaine and Oxycontin addictions but had been clean for 6 years. She recently confessed she fell off the wagon.

Yeah, pretty sure she overdosed on oxy. LE assumed it was heroin because of the narcan but oxycontin would make more sense since that's what she used to get high on. Plus, narcan is used to act on any opioid, not exclusively heroin.

Demi Lovato refused to tell paramedics what drug caused her to overdose, and law enforcement sources say no drugs were seized at her home.

Our law enforcement sources say there is NO criminal investigation, because they did not seize any drugs and can't determine if Demi was in possession of an illegal substance.

She has to be on the very rock bottom again. Refused to cooperate even with her life on the line. So sad. She has a ton of deep seeded issues, it seems like. I hope she's ready to get help again (although it doesn't really look like it) and it's not only about the drugs, it's about everything else, she's clearly in a really bad place.
Very interesting how LE wasn't able to find any drugs at all after she overdosed and after a party... I guess her team did a bit of a clean up before anyone got there.

Demi Lovato reportedly entering rehab after release from hospital

Demi Lovato is reportedly planning on entering rehab after being released from the Los Angeles hospital where she has been receiving treatment since Tuesday following a suspected overdose.

This won’t be the first time the Échame la Culpa singer has received professional help for substance abuse, bipolar disorder and an eating disorder.

Lovato entered rehab in 2010 at age 18 but relapsed after leaving the treatment facility. Lovato then entered a sober-living facility for a year in 2013. She celebrated five years of sobriety last March.​

Rehab and a sober living home might be just the right thing for her.
She seems to have a problem with being "alone". I mean, it will work if she really wants it to work.
I hope she's ready to take care of herself, it's really sad whenever anyone is in a situation like this. Breaks my heart.
