Authorities are searching for a 67-year-old Vista man who went missing earlier this week.

Deonicio Sebastian was last seen Monday at 8 a.m. at his home on West Indian Rock Road, according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. He left sometime that day, taking his wallet and leaving his cell phone, and has not been in contact with his family.

Sebastian is described as approximately 5’4″ and 200 pounds. He walks with a limp, has a receding hairline and dark brown complexion and cannot read or write.

Sebastian often rides the bus or takes the train to run errands or walks to Arrango Green Growers, where he works.

Sebastian suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and has a pacemaker. He takes medications every six hours.

Family Seeks Help Finding At-Risk Vista Man Missing Since Aug. 19

The family of a 67-year-old man missing from his Vista home is spent Wednesday afternoon posting flyers with picture of the missing loved one in hopes they can find him and bring him home.

• left his home on W. Indian Rock Road on foot at around 8 a.m. Aug. 19
• left his wallet and cell phone behind
• 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 200 pounds
• receding hairline
• dark brown complexion
• walks with a slight limp
• can’t read or write
• suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and relies on a pacemaker.
• often walks and rides the bus or train
• often takes the bus to Oceanside to go to Walmart
• frequently walks from his home to the Arango Green Growers nursery at 2266 Bautista Ave. to work
