I tried to search yearbooks from barstow high schools but he doesnt appear to be in the ones i found from bhs and central high school doesnt have ones available from the mid 70s

Do you think he could be ( NamUs #UP4107 )? He's listed as white in NamUs, but Wikipedia says that the victim was Hispanic. Here's a link to Wikipedia's page where there's a photo of the Los Angeles County John Doe (1987), although it's not really useful without a photo of Desiderio. I think this could be a match, height and weight are exact, same state.
The report mentions that desiderios hairline is receding, the john doe doesnt appear to have one?
I would submit it anyway, too close to ignore.

Oh, I got too excited about the other details and forgot about the receding hairline - it didn't look receding. But hey, the top of Doe's head isn't visible, so we can't know, right? 114 miles is not too much, considering the usual distance in the US, I think.

I believe I've found a photo of him on billion graves - his placeholder grave in Barstow has a low-quality photo of him in life. The DOB is off by a year.
