This is very local to us. So very sad. I can't help but think she might have planned to harm herself. But why wouldn't she leave a loving note for her supportive family? IDK what to think.

Thanks for posting this. Interesting because I was just looking at this case for the first time and when googling about it I saw this tidbit about some parenting advice by a "Dona Perry":

Kids Fighting Solved
Dona was having lots of battles over squabbling, kids fighting and out of control behavior while driving in the car. The six foster children, ages 2-7 would behave in a very distracting manner and mom was having no success with asking, telling and nagging. In the parenting class she was inspired to try something different. Now when the kids get out of control, she calmly pulls over to the side of the road and shuts the ignition off. She waits with a smile on her face and no words for the kids fighting to stop. Every time, the children calm quickly. AND mom feels much better at keeping her cool while redirecting the children to behave more cooperatively. Hooray, Dona!

Do you think maybe she had some kind of episode and "pulled calmly over to the side of the road and shut the ignition off" in this case too? Praying for her.

This is all I could find:
Bryan Applegate of the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Jan. 27 that human remains found in Ojai Jan. 25 are that of a male who has been deceased for more than a year.
