Circumstances of Disappearance - Donald Huntress was free diving in Emerald Bay off Laguna Beach, CA with friends. Huntress dove underwater and returned to the surface. Huntress once again dove underwater and was never seen again. Friends dove into the water to search for him, and one swan ashore to search the beach. No signs of Huntress were found.

Donald Jason Huntress, 33, was with friends in an 18-foot boat about 200 yards offshore in Emerald Bay when he dived into the water at about 3:15 p.m. He reportedly surfaced briefly, then disappeared. An Orange County Sheriff's Department news release said the divers are conducting a grid-type search for Huntress, moving outward from where the boat was anchored
