Donna moved to Los Angeles and would stay in contact with family periodically with the longest gap being 3 to 6 weeks. Family has now not heard from Donna since December 2024 at which time she was experiencing homelessness and expressed a fear of being harmed but did not seek assistance. The last photo she sent home was on was on 12/24/24 and indicates that she was at 7th and Figueroa Street by the mall.

Her legal married name in St. Louis County is Donna Banks. However, in all of her LAPD records, she has been entered as Donna Carroll.

Los Angeles Court records are really hard to find and access as a general rule (San Bernadrino County has a search engine, but not most of LA). I couldn't find anything for her in St. Louis County in MO under Banks, Under Carrol there are a lot of people with that name so without a middle initial I can't pinpoint anything prior to when she moved.

I wonder what made her go to CA, did she know someone there? Did she go with someone?

The lack of information and coverage is terrible. I wish there were more photos out there as the one above is not that useful

This is an older 2024 civil case showing her and her husband as plaintiffs, certain:y not connected at all but shows some timeline (June 2024) and the name she was using in Missouri (Carroll)

I wonder what kind of fear of harm she was worried about? Did her family ask her to elaborate? Was he ex after her? I am very hopeful for this case we can get a verified insider who can help fill in some gaps :( very worried about her..

Addiction is really prevalent in the homeless community, particularly Fentanyl.

Has her family posted any information about what part of Los Angeles she was setting up? There are concentrations of homeless in multiple locations around the city. Hollywood, and "skid row" being the most well known.

Skid Row has a lot of homeless services. Not that its a great place, but there are a lot of community out-reach in the area. It would be a great place to start, because the people that work with the homeless in the area see and talk to a lot of people on the street.

O.K., Just looked on NAMUS and she was most likely in the Figueroa street area. Which is bad... If you can think of a crime, it happens there. However, it is an area of focus for community out reach. The drawback is that gangs run the area. So people will not talk about crimes.
