Dorris Denson disappeared after attending church services on Sunday in downtown Victorville, according to authorities who are asking for the public's help in locating the 74-year-old woman.

Denson was last seen wearing a light purple dress and hat. After she did not return home from church, and attempts to contact her were unsuccessful, Victorville Sheriff’s Station officials conducted an overnight search but did not find her.

Authorities said Denson, who lives in Victorville, was last seen at approximately 12:30 p.m. Sunday leaving Living Word Community Church in the 15400 block of Hesperia Road.

The church is located just south of Forrest Avenue, across the street from the property where Victor Valley Junior High School once stood.

Denson has early onset Alzheimer’s disease.

Denson is described as 5-feet 3-inches tall, approximately 158 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She left church services in her 2015 gray Kia Sorento that has a California license plate number of 9239FDP.

Authorities ask public to help locate missing 74-year-old Victorville woman

Denson has early onset Alzheimer’s disease. As a result, she is known to repeat questions and is sometimes confused, her daughter, Joi Wallace, told the Daily Press on Monday.

“She usually comes home after church,” said Wallace, who also lives in Victorville. “We have a routine, which is why I let her go to church on her own. I also have my step dad, who is a severe stroke victim with Bell's palsy, here.”

Wallace said, “No matter what, this is all bizarre behavior” by her mother.

Sounds like Joi has a full plate caring for both of them :(
