Wagstaffe is hot to get this over with because his OWN OFFICE hired Ayres to evaluate boys. Back in the 1980s, a prosecutor named Marta Diaz in the San Mateo DA's office frequently hired Ayres to evaluate boys. We believe other prosecutors in the DA's office hired Ayres as well

Then when Diaz became a juvenile judge, she sent hundreds of boys to Ayres.

In the fall of 2002, when the police first began to investigate Ayres, Diaz tried to get the police to stop investigating Ayres saying "Ayres and I are our friends."

We know that in 1979, Ayres gave a 13 year old boy in his office alcohol laced with a drug and then raped him. Ayres stated to the boy, "If you let me do this to you, I will make sure you don't go to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall."

Ayres was under contract to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall for at least thirty years. There are no doubt hundreds of more boys out there he raped with the promise of not sending them to juvenile hall.

Wagstaffe doesn't want the County to be held liable for millions in lawsuits had there been a conviction.

Did Ayres work in other counties as well in the Bay Area? I tried to find some list of all this, but I suppose there is none (at least publicly available). There was some other juvenile case or high profile person he was connected to and I'll be darned if I can find it.

He told the mother of a victim last Saturday that it "wasn't helpful" to Ayres' competency that Ayres was using a walker. When reporters started calling Wagstaffe about the evidence that showed Ayres was competent, Wagstaffe refused to return their calls.

On Monday, the prosecutor said Ayres was too incompetent to stand trial. They are sending him to Golden Gate Regional Center to be evaluated, where Ayres has done work. We know that they will not recommend that Ayres go to Napa (state mental instititution ) and that Wagstaffe won't fight it, because the cushy rest home deal has been in place since June 24, 2011.

Wagstaffe hid the rest home deal from the public because he knew there would be a public outrage. So he kept telling people there might be a retrial.

Complaints have been filed with the three government agencies who are currently investigating Wagstaffe and the prosecutor on the Ayres case.

He suddenly packed up and high tailed it across the country in the early 60's-several of us believe that Children's Hospital likely received one or more complaints which were mitigated with money.

It is about Ayres and his ties to the San Mateo DA's office and to the juvenile courts, and a county that is still protecting him because they don't want to be held liable.

The AG's office investigates conflict of interest in cases. This is a clear cut example of conflict of interest if there ever was one.

You'll find that there's a lot of crossover between Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties when it comes to foster care issues and medical care. We have three children adopted from San Mateo County and two children adopted from Santa Clara County. All have special needs. Going through their old records, it's clear that they saw specialists in both counties and in Alameda County. For some odd reason, San Francisco seems to stand alone.

For those not familiar with the CA foster care system, it is unique in that it is county based, rather than the more common state-based system. A handful of counties are overseen by the state but most counties have their own "system". Because of this, there's a vast difference concerning the way "business" is done in each county.

I've always felt that there was not nearly enough communication between counties. We were shocked, several times, to learn that one of our children had a new sibling in the next county. A search for relatives was done and several times we were never notified as is the law. Several of the children we did adopt are related by birth--siblings or cousins--but there are many more out there who we've still not found.

I'll be very very curious as to what link might turn up between Levin and Ayres. I'm betting it's related to computers.

Concerning the lunch, both of the other men at the table are doctors? FWIW, the man sitting next to Ayres certainly doesn't seem comfortable at all. Who knows what went through their minds when he popped off about the boys. That incident must surely have been a high point of Ayres' day. He surely is fixated and comes across as entirely juvenile......until he's standing next to a child's bed.

Missizzy: The doctor seated next to Ayres is psychiatrist Larry Lurie. He does look uncomfortable sitting next to the "man" who raped the 13 year old boy. However, during the criminal trial Lurie was one of the shrinks who sent a fundraising letter out to other shrinks for Ayres' criminal defense. He sent it on stationary from the Northern California Psychiatric Society. Doctors protested, and the Northern California Psychiatric Association disassociated themselves from the letter.

The doctor sitting next to Ayres' wife is psychiatrist Robert Kimmich. His name was also on the fundraising letter.

People have complained about their defense of Ayres on their Yelp reviews and that luncheon last week with Ayres.

The California Attorney General investigates conflict of interest in cases.

There was a clear conflict of interest in the San Mateo DA trying the Ayres case.

- Marta Diaz, a prosecutor in the San Mateo District Attorney's s office hired Ayres to evaluate boys from 1981- 1994. There may be other prosecutors who hired Ayres as well.

- Marta Diaz became a juvenile judge in San Mateo in 1997. She continued to refer hundreds of boys to Ayres.

- In 2002, when a victim came forward to the San Mateo Police Department to say that Ayres had molested him, Judge Marta Diaz went to the police and actively tried to stop them from investigating Ayres. She told the police, "Stop investigating him. Bill Ayres and I are friends."

- While the police continued to investigate Ayres, Diaz, with the full knowledge that Ayres was being investigated for child molestation (and that there had been two prior complaints by victims about Ayres) continued to refer boys to Ayres as late as 2004.

- In 1979, a 13 year old boy was raped by Dr. Ayres in his office after Ayres gave him alcohol laced with a drug. Ayres stated to him, "If you let me do this to you, I will make sure you don't go to juvenile hall."

- There is a strong probability that Ayres made similar bargains with hundreds juveniles: sexual assaults in exchange for not sending them to juvenile hall, where Ayres was under contract for several decades.

Underlying issues in this case that are of concern to us include:

2. The invasion of the privacy of more than 600 patients through the use of their confidential files to identify them and inquire, without any prior evidence, if they had been molested by their psychiatrist;

4. The substitution of the judgment of law enforcement officers for the considered medical opinion of a highly respected psychiatrist.

Bill and Solveig are running out of money after spending two million dollars in their own defense. If Dr. Ayres is going to have a chance at an unbiased trial, he is going to need to use expert witnesses. We are therefore encouraging colleagues who want to make sure that Bill gets a fair trial to send contributions to the William H. Ayres Legal Defense Fund. We wonder what Dr Lurie and Dr. Kimmich would think about Ayres if they knew what the police found in Ayres' drawer... All those letters from his daughter Barbara. If they only knew what she said in those letters. Terrible family secrets.

If B felt strongly enough to write to her father and allegedly confront him, why has she not yet stepped out of the dark and into the light to tell her story? Can she really be that inured to their suffering...possibly the same trauma she experienced...to not speak up for these men?

How can a human being live with this vile secret, knowing that it is destroying other's lives when her words could offer solace and validation?

I challenge her to speak up and stop this cycle of pain and cruelty.

It is our understanding that Barbara Ayres has no contact with her father- for obvious reasons.

She did not attend the criminal trial. We hope one day she will speak out on behalf of her father's hundreds of victims- in both California and Boston.

Just stumbled upon this Youtube interview with "Joel", who was Ayres' patient at Judge Baker in Boston in the early 1960s.

This was put up in February, but it's certainly relevant now.

We can report that the very first thing that Ayres said to Joel on his first day of therapy was "Do you know what a b**w j*b is?"

People should remember that the Boston Police Department is still asking that victims who were molested by Ayres in Boston in the 1960s come forward. We have spoken to detectives in the Boston PD's Crimes Against Children Unit - and they are very eager for victims to contact them.

Massachusetts has a "Stop the Clock " Law which means that the clock stops when the child molester moves out of state, like Ayres did in 1963.

We have been told by a sgt detective in the Boston PD that they have successfully convicted priests well into their 80s....

Gonna be a lot harder for Ayres to pull his fake dementia excuse in Boston. They know how to prosecute pedophiles there.. he has no ties there. No one at Judge Baker will defend him.. We have a list of 40 doctors from Judge Baker and Childrens Hospital who were trained/and or worked at Judge Baker when Ayres was there, and they're all willing to go on record to say that Ayres is lying about being trained to give genital exams to boys in therapy..

Now that we know that a 13 year old boy was raped in Ayres office at 215 N. San Mateo Drive in San Mateo in 1979 after being given alcohol laced with a drug (bargaining with him that if he let him assault him, that he would recommend the boy not go to juvenile hall) , we have no problem believing that Ayres did the same thing to juveniles at Boston's Roslindale Detention Center, where he worked on the weekends in 1961- 1963.

It's pretty gross Ayres blew through $2 mil on defense and then they are putting out a call for donations. And all these psychiatrists signing the letter boggles my mind.
