What does 92L mean? I think the thread title could be a little more clear. :)

Before it became a tropical storm it was Invest 92L - an area of disturbance (to be investigated).

Tracking Invest 92L: Depression to form in Gulf; see timing, rainfall projections

What will the storm be named?

"It will be named Barry if it strengthens to a tropical storm. Right now, it is called Invest 92L."

An invest in meteorology (short for investigative area, alternatively written INVEST)[1] is a designated area of disturbed weather that is being monitored for potential tropical cyclone development. Invests are designated by three separate United States forecast centers: the National Hurricane Center, the Central Pacific Hurricane Center, and the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.

Thanks for the info Jax. I just learned something new, but I still think the thread title is confusing. o_O:)

You're welcome and I agree.

Do we have a thread for the Seattle earthquake this morning? Or wasn’t it big enough to bother?
