As we know, in the "Mad is the Word" journal entry passage the EAR writes:
I wish I had know what was going to be going on during my 6th grade year, the last and worst years of elementary school. Mad is the word that remains in my head about my dreadful year as a 6th grader....
Disappointment wasn't the only reason that made me mad in my sixth grade class, another was getting in trouble at school especially talking thats what really bugged me was writing sentences, those awful sentence that my teacher made me write, hours and hours I'd sit and write 50-100-150 sentence day and night I write those dreadful paragraphs which embarrassed me ...

I feel that this case can be cracked!! Somewhere in Ca. is there a person (or a number of people) whose sixth grade white male classmate got in trouble (sometimes for talking in class) to the point of been forced to write numerous sentences. Anyone who was a student in a class where the teacher may have broken promises regarding a field trip and one individual child was singled out, should think about that kid who used to get in trouble in sixth grade.
I really feel there are a number of individuals out there, still alive who would have been in 6th grade with the EAR. I wonder what year the EAR was a sixth grader.
If the individual who sent in the poem "Excitements Crave" was indeed the EAR then it stands to reason that the troubled male student attended school in or around Sacramento, CA and would probably be well known as a troubled student.
