My comment was not directed at any TOS issue.. I just hate that innocence and his family and children and those he knew are being brought into it. It is inevitable but I hate seeing it. It has nothing to do with anything other than that

Yes, he has know made his family and Bonnie all victims now. His path of destruction knows no bounds. :(

I still think it's strange. I know every year of my parents' lives, and much more about them before I was born than after I left home. I should think it would come up in school assignments or genealogy research or family reunions. Which just goes to prove that they didn't have those occasions, and didn't really talk as a family. And maybe they did ask, and were shut down.
Parents and relatives withold info all the time. I discovered in my thirties that my mother was married before and divorced when I finally asked her for my birth certificate. None of my siblings knew either. This is minor normally but in this instance, will be life changing for all concerned.

I would think thats the house he lived in while he was on his .murdering spree in so. Cal. I saw an interview that was posted here of the man that lives there now

That’s a very modest home valued at $611,000!
CA real estate makes me crazy.

Here’s a mention by the msm of them living in Long Beach.

There’s also relief back in the Long Beach neighborhood an accused serial killer once lived.

Wasnt he living in southern california during that time. 79 to 89

No I don't think so. Two of his three children were born in Sacramento in that time period. So he was only in Southern California part of that time.

A Monster in Auburn’s Midst?
Alleged Golden State killer a testy cop, next-door neighbor in 1970s Auburn

For three years, Auburn harbored a nightmare in the Jekyll-and-Hyde guise of a serial killer many of the kids in town knew as The Crazy Cop.

That’s the bizarre scenario that Cheryl Brown is trying to get her head around after Wednesday’s bombshell revelation that her family’s next-door neighbor in Auburn during the late 1970s was the Golden State Killer.

We were saying ‘Oh my God, it’s The Crazy Cop,’” Brown said.

Relations between Brown’s family and next-door-neighbor DeAngelo were always testy, particularly when it came to his dislike of their dog, Brown said.

“There was a war of words over the fence,” she said. “He didn’t seem to like kids or dogs and he moved into a neighborhood with lots of kids and dogs. He was an odd duck.”

Then Worthless, the family dog, unexpectedly died.

Brown’s mother confronted DeAngelo after learning from a veterinarian that the cause was poisoned meat.

Brown said she looks back now with a new and chilling perspective on that time.

“I absolutely believe he did it,” Brown said.

Its a long article......
Poor Worthless. Now we know who the dog repellent was for and we know it was mace dog repellent.

JD was so angry at getting arrested for shoplifting that he poisoned the neighbour's dog.
:cow:

So according to this article he was known as an odd duck and both a crazy cop and a bad cop. I wish they would explain why that was. His boss said he was an "average cop".

Check out questerfiles article on The Majiorie murders. Looks like he slipped through then too. The suspect sketch is a dead ringer for him as a cop. Both suspects were cleared at the time even though some investigators had reservations about them being cleared. HMMMMMMM.
So yeah. Seems like he could have been nabbed, even before shoplifting the dog repellant, and hammer.
So twice he got away.
Seriously SMH.

Would you have a link for that? Which two '81/'86/'89 ? TIA.

Unbelievable what he got away with.

Do you have a link about those births all being in Sacramento? I found some happened in Los Angeles county but I don’t know what I can post here. And sometimes public record sites are wrong, I know from searching me. The children’s names are in The Daily Mail, their birth years are on the timeline, it’s easy to find the place of birth with a search.
I don’t want to sleuth the family, their mortgage records and birth records do place Joe in Long Beach during the 80’s, though, from the site I found.
That’s the point, it’s not about where his wife owned property or where his kids were born, but they verify his connection and home base in Long Beach.

Pardon me...circular contusions. Thank you for the quick correction. I'm taking in a lot of info.
"Two of the female victims had circular contusions. One was located on the shoulder of PATRICE HARRINGTON and the other was located on the buttocks of MANUELA WITTHUHN. The shoulder injury was described as a possible bite mark, the other as being consistent with a punch.

That literally means a circular bruise and does indicate what weapon was used in my opinion.

Yep. And some had round marks like hmmmm from a hammer? Maybe.

If I punched you, it would probably cause a bruise; a round one at that. It doesn't mean my fist is round.

Good question I wonder why!
They have stopped the DB Cooper hunt because they have exhausted all avenues at this time.. until some new evidence comes along i's just a waste of manpower and $$$ to keep hunting him

There are detailed accounts of each attack at coldcase-earons. I’ve been reading and paying particular attention to the description of events that are outlined in the “Immediate Aftermath” section of each numbered attack. The more I read the more it becomes apparent that law enforcement was either totally inept or actually covering for who we now know is DeAngelo.

I read everything on that link several times over, & its frustrating & mind boggling how he got away each time.......I think if he played the lottery back then, he would have won it, that's the luck he had.

His wife was in law school in Sacramento during that time wasnt she? It makes sense that they may have been living somewhat separately.

I found this to be a very interesting article, it contains a lot of family, neighbor, and timeline info.

Golden State Killer suspect lived a quiet suburban life, with flashes of rage and anger

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-golden-state-killer-profile-20180427-story.html

Sorry if someone already posted it.

His comment was interesting, but him guessing that the person was a vet of the Vietnam war is almost a given considering the suggested age range of the killer. But he was giving JJD too much credit assuming he was special forces, we know JJD was in the Navy I believe and likely saw no combat. A lot of the comment is just logical inference... he hated women, was angry, and jealous. Of course! Why else rape & bludgeon so many people? A lot of the rest is just way off base with what we know now.

Another suspicious one... Read the comment by James Lundgren on this article. How did he get so much right? It's almost like he is telling a story about himself.

Wow! It's got him be him. The details about Bonnie... The self-pitying tone: "Despite working harder and suffering more than most people could even imagine." Reveling in his own "origin story" and ending it with, "officially beginning his life as one of the most dangerous criminals on record."
