That hearing was all of 90 seconds. Still no plea. The next court date is September 5th. There were many more victims at this hearing than usual. DeAngelo walked into the cage in the courtroom, he looked a little skinnier, he stood through the short hearing. #GoldenStateKiller

"I hope that they're gonna let us hold up this banner that says, 'Now we... have the power and the control,'" Carson-Sandler said.

They won’t let them hold up that banner in court. Innocent until proven guilty. They will get their day in court and have the final word but it’s going to take some time.

Victims show up for Golden State Killer court appearance

DeAngelo, charged with eight murders in counties around the state, appeared very briefly Thursday in court in his standard orange prison jumpsuit.

The 72-year-old Citrus Heights grandfather spoke briefly to his attorney before the judge postponed the hearing until Sept. 5 so the defense could review additional discovery handed over from prosecutors.

Law enforcement believe DeAngelo was responsible for murdering up to 13 people and raping more than 50 women over two decades, according to recently unsealed court records.​

The appearance was not televised, and Joseph DeAngelo's lawyers tried to have the media completely banned from the Sacramento courtroom.

TY ETC for updating us. Those are brave women and I am so glad the judge refused the motion to keep the hearing private. The public and the victims have an absolute right to witness all this IMO.
