Anyone else thinks the female defense attorney's body language and touching are inappropriate? Is it all an act?

Is it all an act?
Will attempt to humanize JJD?

  • #142
Well, it looks really gross, but thinking it is all about the defense trying to show that the suspect is human and perhaps to assert her authority and control over the " beast. " or, to convey the sense that he is now just a harmless, weak old man.
Unsure if he has the power to replace his lawyers if he wants, but this is a high profile dream gig for a defense lawyer, so it makes good business sense to make her client feel like she can be trusted.
speculation, imo.

Not sure how she could touch him knowing what he's done. I know it's her job to defend him but mother or touch him..shudder.

It just made my whole insides go ewwwww, it all looked so cheap and tacky, must have nauseated everyone there.
Hate to even think how the suspect processed the touching, for an ( alleged ) filthy sick pervert alone in his cell, it must have been hard, the gesture!
imo,speculation.

In the Casey Anthony trial, there was female attorney who sat next to Casey Anthony who hugged her, stroked her and acted like a mother to her. JMO, but JDD's attorney may be trying the same kind of approach to show that he is human, he is "hurting", has feelings, etc.

I agree. I could not defend him. Even if my career depended on it. I couldn't do my job seeing victims in the courtroom.

This guy is going to be a cop/military police or a cops kids in the Sacramento area. A Sacramento county sheriffs deputies kid would be my bet. His profile will be similar to a Westly Scott Roberts life. Check every deputy and cop in the towns hit and their sons, you will find him.

................ this E.A.R will be no different, he's somebody we will never expect and was somebody hiding in plain sight like LE or one of their kids. Search pictures, find people who fit description, add their locations and access to the areas of crime. It probably will not be a criminal, it will be a clean cut white guy in his early 60's that's either dead or living a quite normal life. We will find this guy this year!

I’m pretty sure he won’t be paying attorneys with sex though. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

This is out of the blue, but thinking of GGK's curious smell that was reported by some of his victims, this article came to mind, imo speculation, fwiw.

Dr. Dee Mangin is one of the few doctors researching what happens when people stop taking antidepressants.
As a teenager, the Connecticut woman was diagnosed with juvenile bipolar disorder, and was put on a number of anti-psychotic drugs, including high doses of antidepressants.

As an adult, she quit taking the drugs cold turkey. Like Linda Kooymans, she went through a very difficult withdrawal, which may have been compounded by the fact that she was on several medications.

Delano went through a raft of intense symptoms including mood swings, nausea, boils, migraines, and even a strange, smell that emanated from her skin.

The female victim had tried to explain the foul odor of her attacker to the reporting officer. She struggled to identify the smell. Bad hygiene wouldn’t account for it, she said. It didn’t come from his underarms, or his breath. The best the victim could say, the officer noted in his report, was that it seemed like a nervous scent that emanated not from a particular area on his body, but from his every pore. The officer asked if she could be more specific. She couldn’t. The thing was, it wasn’t like anything she’d ever smelled before.

Following Golden State Killer Suspect’s Arrest, California Lawmakers Want Rape Kits Tested More Quickly
May 15, 2018
Under a bill by Sen. Connie Leyva (D-Chino), law enforcement agencies would have to submit rape kits to crime labs within 20 days of their collection, and labs would have no more than 120 days to test them. Another bill by Assemblyman David Chiu (D-San Francisco) would require a statewide audit of all untested exams
.
But at a news conference on Tuesday, Leyva and Chiu said they were pleased to find Gov. Jerry Brown had earmarked a one-time $6 million to help counties process forensic evidence in his newly revised budget. They had initially sought only $2 million.

I found it quite fascinating that Ted Bundy was reported to have emitted a strange odor on several occasions. Once when he became extremely angry his aunt reported that his face became contorted and he suddenly emitted a strong, strange odor. Another time he became enraged in court and at that time he also suddenly emitted a strange odor. It wasn’t sweat, it was something else. These people are wired differently than us. Chemical changes causing odors is what I always assumed was happening with TB.

Interesting, JJD's ex lives in Granite Bay...

You can access Folsom Lake via the Granite Bay entrance or the Folsom entrance. He lived closer to Granite Bay so would probably use that one.

@G

Case 53 podcast mentions a musty smell.
Wonder if JJD had clothes assigned as "kill clothes", as did BTK.
He ate a lot of junk food, toxins
not good for the metabolism.
