Someone a few pages back said to castrate him. It would make no difference. This is not about sexual arousal, it about control and if he could not do it with his genitals, he would use objects. That is probably why so many of his victims said that he had a small penis. He was not particularly sexually aroused, just wanted control.
Totally agree.. some of he’s victims said that he didn’t seem that interested in the sex act itself.

I hope he gets the least amount and quality of food possible from this day forward.
I wonder what the heck that's all about. I cannot wait to read an FBI's profile on that.

So he deliberately leaves a mess at crime scene, (playing, unafraid) yet is known to be meticulous.

Looks like a band-aid to me?

Saw this mug shot late last night - gave me the heebie-jeebies

From the fresh wound above his eye, and perhaps a bandage on his head, he may have fought when confronted by Police.

In regards to the Mr. Cruel case, is it possible he felt more comfortable raping children due to the small size of his package, as previously mentioned?

One of the best books out there is one published last year by Kat Winters and Keith Komos “Case Files of the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer.” It is chock full of facts.
I agree. That is the best EAR/ONS book to date.

This was about a different person they started discussing towards the end of the article. Easy to miss. Reading online articles with ads constantly changing and various things emphasized in blue as clickable links drives me crazy! I love it when they have “reader view” available.

On a random note, shouldn’t the term be “honed” in rather than “homed” in?

Yes, the term is honed, and it stood out to me as well.

EAR has nothing to do with Mr Cruel whatsoever.

Police believe Mr Cruel was attacking children in Australia from 1981 until 1991. His last three victims were brought to his suburban home and kept there for many hours, even days. Do you really think Joseph James DeAngelo Jr owned a home in Australia and flew back and forth between Australia and America for a decade, raping women and murdering both women and men in America before coming back to Australia to bring little girls back to his house to rape them?

The two share a few weird habits like talking to imaginary accomplices, or pretending to use a telephone.

There is a zero percent chance that they are the same offender.

I thought about this as well......he was probably patrolling neighborhoods, parking his car certain places & stalking victims, doing recon......does anyone know what shift he worked on as a cop?

I thought maybe he worked 2nd shift, did his stalking, etc.....then told his wife he had to work overtime/double shift certain nights & there he goes prowling around & committing crimes, then stroll in for breakfast in the morning, take a shower, go to sleep, wake up, rinse & repeat.

Or can you work as a cop on 3rd shift, & be outside of your car prowling w/o raising any flags back then?

I've been wondering about his shifts/hours.

However, we have to remember he worked for Auburn PD. It's up the hill and several miles from Citrus Heights, etc. Now I don't know about back in the late 1970's, but I don't know that he would have been allowed to have taken an Auburn PD patrol car home? I worked Placer County SO in the 1990's and deputies drove to the stations (Auburn and Loomis) to pick up their cars at beginning of the shift. Same with CHP officers in Auburn. No one drove them home (except maybe an 8am court appointment, or a detective had an unmarked assigned to him/her). So, unless things were really different in the 1970's, I doubt he was patrolling in a patrol car and in uniform. Now, maybe a few close neighbors knew he was Auburn PD and appreciated having a LEO in the neighborhood...you know, to keep them safe! Ugh.

I was wondering if he did these attacks on his days off, vacation days, etc. Otherwise, when the heck did he sleep?!?!

besides Michelles book are their any other good books written about this case, thanks

This is going to open up a huge can of worms for those types of sites.

Because I can guarantee they are afraid of losing business because the first thing I thought about when I heard the news was I was never ever going to use a site like that even if I have a desire to know my family history.

I agree. Although I have nothing to hide, I will not give up my DNA to a company that I then have no idea when or how it's used...or compromised. Your DNA is pretty darn unique and important.

I wrote a paper over Ancestry DNA cases for my biotech class and my memory is really bad but I think ancestry.com used to be another company and had absorbed the dna database that the LDS had been using to trace ancestry. Ancestry.com is not owned by the LDS afaik.

Just reiterating, Ancestry.com was not the company LE worked with. They have denied it.

It was GED Match, an open source genealogy-DNA match web site

IMO, it is quite possible that he committed these crimes both before, during and after his shifts as well.

Agree. Health information contained in your DNA can be used by employers, insurance companies, creditors, etc. against you or other members of your family. Current laws on the books are not adequate to protect you in these situations. Good luck trying to change them (speaking from experience).

Auburn is not in a neighboring jurisdiction to the named cities. It would be hard for him to go down the I-80 hill from Auburn and be prowling in other cities...too much of a risk that he'd get a on-duty call and be out of his jurisdiction. So, I don't think he did it during his shift. Maybe before and after, that is possible.

You know, when I worked nights- I would often stay up all night on my nights off just to have a regular sleep/ wake cycle. I wonder if he also did this- esp. since cops (unlike nurses) work eight-hour shifts, it's not that much of a stretch to do two more nights awake, sleep consistently during the day.

Read “Case Files of the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer” by Kat Winters and Keith Komos. It is has all the facts of each rape/murder along with never published accounts from the victims and witnesses.
