“We have very limited information,” Kent said. He asked people to keep an eye out for any disturbed ground and asked the public not to go out and search.

Investigators used automated messages to alert neighbors to check their property, including barns and trash cans, for loose dirt or suspicious bags, and to report anything they may have heard in the early morning hours Thursday.

Probably the complete disarray and "trailer-trash" vibe.

Did someone post above that the dad has been arrested for drugs in the past? I know we confirmed DUI, burglary and possession of stolen vehicle (I am making an assumption those last two are drug-related)

His probation violation - the reason he's in jail now - was apparently for use of "unreported Rx drugs".

I don't think we have any confirmation this was his first time alone with her. But it was temporary.

Hugs to your little one! [emoji5]️

There was another time on facebook - so rumor only - that he had her for the day and was inviting family and friends to come play with them that day. He had to return her by 6 p.m.

Thanks, I wonder if this is was his first time ever having her alone overnight [emoji20]

Oh no :( where is this beautiful little sweetheart?

I don't like raising new doubts about possible scenarios, but when was the last time anyone other than the daddy and mommy saw baby Ember? Has the mommy been cleared of suspicion? What's the qualifier?

"He loves her more than he loves me. He loves that little girl more than I've ever seen anybody love somebody," Jamie Lee Graham said. "He is the most dotting dad, he will change as many diapers, he's so patient with her. There's no way he did this. There's no way."

Jamie believes someone took her daughter. She said her baby girl is at risk, wherever she is, because she has epilepsy.

Having three beautiful children, if one went missing, God forbid, and the police would suspect my husband/bf/fiance/partner I would go nuts on them until it was proven otherwise. I love and treasure my kids more than any other person. While I would have my doubts, I would make sure that person would leave no doubt.
Such a beautiful baby girl.

This makes me think they aren't looking for an alive baby: looking for disturbed ground, checking trash cans for loose dirt and suspicious bags, asking the public not to search

I hope I'm wrong but I just get the vibe they are looking for locate/recover and not missing baby. Hopefully it means nothing and they're just exploring all avenues!

I think you are very much correct. Even if somehow Ember was out there somewhere, if she is alone the heat has been so bad..

I too am of the 'someone in the trailer' is involved, but I also think some attention needs to be given to the ex girlfriend/bf and/or MG's son's babymama.... jealousy/attention on new baby (with the hospital/medical issues...lots of that lately) can bring out a bad/jealous side and sounds like she was causing issues just a few months ago. She'd also be able to get in that trailer without alerting dogs possibly.

Afterthought: These kids are VERY young to be dealing with this responsibilities... and going by FB, VERY VERY immature. LOTS of drama, depressive posts and constant back and forth with the relationship... Mom is very desperate for 'love' and MG, bordering on obsessive (not unusual for her young age).... and looks like will do anything to hold onto Dad. Just throwing it out there.

JMO...as always

She was reported missing from her crib at a home on Noosha Lane in Happy Valley that Matthew Graham shares with a cousin, James Russell, and Russell’s fiancée, Sara Chabino.
...
Wayne Graham said the Shasta County sheriff’s investigators cited his son’s swollen ankles as a sign he may have done a lot of walking. But the elder Graham said his son’s ankles swell easily as a result of burns he sustained as a teenager. Those burns required skin grafts, and there is scarring on his legs, he said.

Mom is in big time denial mode. Dad and Mom just agreed for Mom and Ember to move back home. This means they just recently got back together and emotions are similar to how one feels in a new relationship. There was obviously something going on per his FB post about the "rumors" being spread about his ex. He validates a post on FB that these are just rumors. Mom sees this and thinks well if his friends are backing him up, then the rumors must not be true. She will go visit him in jail. Right now Mom thinks the police are the bad guys since they have Dad locked up for violation of probation which has nothing to do with their daughter. Now is when she needs his support the most. Him knowing the calls are being recorded will say whatever to protect himself. Mom is in so much grief combined with Dad pleading his innocence and pro fusing his love for Mom and Ember will further convince her that he had nothing to do with this.

Now seeing his property, I still stand by an accident happening. Dad probably took his eyes off Ember, she was exploring and crawling around and she either fell or got injured some how. Ember was probably crying and Dad had soothed her to sleep not knowing this was something you're not supposed to do if an infant has a head injury and she passed. Dad panics knowing he has to do something since Ember was in his care. Fake a kidnapping not knowing it would backfire. Just a theory that came to me in the shower.

Fyi..... regarding the April 3rd FB and the ex: I found the named ex posting on a news page. I could be very mistaken, but "A" isn't the mom of his son. "A" has an about year old baby who is obviously hispanic (A is like Irish redhead lily white) so I believe that is who he was referring to. The son's mother must be someone else.

Thanks for your post! I agree with the first part but I can't get on board with the second part. As far as I can piece this together - and I may have it wrong - is that JG (mom) went to her house to pack up the night before. No time was given but "night" suggests that Ember wasn't outside crawling around, so more likely that she was in her crib when mom left.

"Night" also suggests that Ember was left in MG's care for 10 hours or less. So, the question is were the other two people in the house during that time? There's been no mention in msm about them apart from naming them as roommates to MG. That's an awfully small trailer so if they were present I can't see how they'd not notice someone coming inside and taking Ember nor would they miss unusual activity from MG, like riding off in his truck or taking a long walk. It's all confusing to say the least.

I just hate cases where a caregiver tells lies to LE! Anyway, something bugging me:

Jamie Graham said the night before her daughter went missing, she went to her house in Anderson to pack and left the baby in Matthew Graham’s care. They were going to live together in Happy Valley.

“I had everything ready. We had a plan to meet at 8 o’clock in the morning before it got super hot, get everything in the truck and get everything moved in,” she said.

But shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday, her phone rang. It was Matthew Graham. The baby was gone, someone took her, she said he told her.

“I kind of thought … maybe that it was our cousin in the house,” she said. “Maybe he went inside and picked her up and he was like, ‘No, I already talked to everybody. She’s gone.’

I can't put my finger on it but that statement struck me as odd. The problem with isolated quotes and sound bites in the media is that often times the context gets left behind. It's frustrating.

And what truck were they planning to use? Maybe JG's? And how were they planning to meet if MG's truck had no plates?Argh!

Wayne Graham said the disabled plates had been off for months, and there shouldn’t have been any because they belonged to his aunt.

ETA: Anderson is about 10 miles from MG's home.

From the comments in the KRCR FB post from earlier today

Unsafe environment for this baby. What were they thinking? I'm seeing a open window with the Maroon curtain hanging out. It would very buggie inside the trailer. The baby would have severe bug bites. I wonder what it looks like inside.

Facebook groups formed to help in the search for baby Ember Graham posted they were looking for the girl in the Happy Valley area.

Some of the volunteers began their search from Happy Valley Elementary School. Others posted they would be parked by the water towers on Cloverdale Road.
...
About a dozen people, all relatives of Matthew Ryan Graham, the baby’s father, began their search after a brief meeting in front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1934 in downtown Redding.

Jamie Lee Graham, the baby’s mother, was the sole representative from her side of the family.

Does anyone else find that odd that nobody on the mom's side was helping look? I realize it is a holiday weekend, but Im pretty sure if a member of my family were missing, I would be out looking.

Babies don't disappear from their crib in the night by themselves. There is no sign of an intruder. The majority of these cases end up being a parent.

Marking my spot and hoping for (but honestly not expecting) a happy outcome...
