That is generally the first one they use for babies.
However it generally makes them sleepy.
Maybe Ember just had a strange reaction to it.

good catch - I hadn't seen that info before ... but there's a gas pump there? I don't see it

wish we had bigger photos
It may or may not be a gas pump

I grew up with a drug addict and I know how sneaky they can be and how they lack reason or remorse especially while High. Mom appears totally obsessed with MG and seems way more invested than he is. The fact that he never once said "instead of interrogating me go find my baby! !" Is very telling. Im still leaning towards the drug angle. Drug deal gone wrong, stole money from the wrong person? (modsnip)

I don't know if that market sells diesel but looks like the kind of curblike things they have around pumps at truck stops. So might be the gas pumps but who knows?
This is getting out of hand. Are there cadaver dogs yet? If so (not to be indelicate) but w/the heat wouldn't they have made a "hit" yet? I know how big an area it is.
Still holding out that he took this baby to someone and she is alive. Realizing her meds were left behind but perhaps this someone considered this in advance and it was planned out?
Heck.

It looks like there's a boom atop the housing, so I would venture to guess this tank is used to fill mobile trucks that go out to fill remote location tanks, as well as construction vehicles, fire trucks on site, etc.

I was trying to find a video of the vigil, no luck but found this-
They pointed out that investigators allowed people back on the property after they took Ember’s playpen and other items from the Graham’s trailer. And yet they returned the following day for Graham’s shoes. All the while, Graham’s truck remained parked on the property.

(Sorry if this was already posted)

I thought he was wearing flip flops...

Why is everyone questioning the gas pump?
LE said he pumped gas so I'm confused. :)

That's what I was going to say. I know CA has different laws than AL, but gas stations that carry off-road diesel will sometimes have a pump off to the side or back like that. That pump though.... I mean, is it from 1957? I haven't seen a pump like that in years.

If MG is going to remain adamant that someone took Ember from her crib and with JG still, I presume, standing behind him. Maybe LE should encourage the couple to do an appeal to the potential kidnapper - or even a request for information from people who may be worried about coming forward (with the drugs link). I am sure an appeal of any kind would be very telling for body language/voice analysis experts. Obviously, this may have been debunked early on by LE or the individual's attorney. If my baby was truly out there, and not by my hands, I would do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to try and ensure her safe return.

I, like a lot here, still have hope Ember - We are waiting for good news xox

Thank you kindly for this excellent forum. So many great ideas and questions here.

I live in the Redding area, so fairly close by.

I have read everything in print on this case but perhaps I have missed something... Do we know exactly what calls were made when Matthew 'discovered' the baby missing? Vs. the calls he says he made?

Also, while we know that MG declined a voice stress, has one even been offered to the mother? How about the cousin's GF, who claims she saw the baby after the store run? I don't really believe her for a hot second, BTW.

I see mom as the one invested in this relationship and NOT Matthew. She seems desperate to keep him and he seems indifferent to me. Narcissistic personality.. Made a good show of being a great dad until the reality hit him. I marvel that she can even look at him after the inconsistencies in his story, let alone stay with him. It's like she knows he did something but is so desperate to keep him that she overlooks it.

Liquid phenobarbital. I was told that by someone local who talked to the family during a search (I'm local).

That is generally the first one they use for babies.
However it generally makes them sleepy.
Maybe Ember just had a strange reaction to it.

This article discusses several pharmaceutical treatments for pediatric seizures. Here's a snip regarding phenobarbital. The link will take you to more info on other meds [as we don't yet know what med(s) Baby Ember is actually prescribed for her diagnosis]:

Epilepsy in Young Children: What Is the Treatment?
Phenobarbital is one of the oldest and safest anticonvulsants for children. It is most commonly used for infants and toddlers. Initially, phenobarbital may cause drowsiness, but the child usually develops tolerance to this side effect.

Side effects: After several weeks or months of treatment, some children may develop hyperactivity, aggression, and insomnia. These side effects may respond to a decrease in dosage. However, some children may need to stop taking this medication.

Welcome strawbale! I tend to agree with you. IMO, It was JGs idea move back in with him. I think the idea of being back with him won out over the best situation and environment for Ember, sadly.

This morning on the news they showed video of them both at the Vigil last night. From the SMALL snippet they showed, MG literally had no reaction, no emotion, just a completely blank stare with his arm draped over JG as she spoke/sobbed. I didn't see tears but I only saw a small snippet

IMO MOO

What a great idea -- if a body language person weighed in. Some of mom's mannerisms in her interviews have been quite strange.

I imagine law enforcement has the particulars of Matthew's cell calls and just aren't mentioning it. I believe they have a lot more cards up their sleeve.

I'm guessing no one has heard any details of whether voice stress has been offered to the mother or anyone besides Matthew. Has the mother even been interviewed more than briefly?

If JG and MG really believe someone came in and took Ember - why not make a public plea for her return or pleas for the kidnapper to have a conscience and lead them to her?

What a hot mess. When mom speaks to the media and is stoic people call her cold and uncaring. When she cries on camera people say her tears are fake. When she stops speaking out people question why she isn't making more pleas for Ember. I think it's awful that she was willing to live in that crappy trailer with a baby and I hate that she's standing by MG but I can see why she's reluctant to speak to the media.

And now a local resident has aligned herself with MG's family and appointed herself as spokesperson to criticize LE.

[redacted] was critical of the sheriff’s investigation and slammed the information the agency has released to the public, in particular Tuesday’s statement, which provided details of its interrogation of Graham.

So the public demands to know what LE is doing to solve the case and then gets angry that LE released information about the case. MG's family continues to focus only on MG's innocence, insisting that Ember was kidnapped.

Among complaints raised by Graham’s family and supporters is the investigation’s characterization of the conditions where Graham lived as well as allegations that the property was difficult to break into.

This week, Sheila Graham, Matthew Graham’s mother, and his neighbor, Sara Chabino, raised questions about how thorough the investigation has been.

I get that emotions in the family and community are running high but I'm not sure that undermining LE's efforts are helpful to solving this case. And just an observation: Days after Delano Wilson's famly criticized LE for not doing enough Delano's dad was arrested for murder. Days after AJ Hadsell's family criticized LE for "doing nothing to look for her" her body was found.

My point is that while LE may not be doing enough in the public's eyes I haven't seen any indication that they've stopped their investigation. MG's family says LE lied when they described the trailer and property in derogatory terms - take a look at the pictures.

What's not being done enough in this investigation lies squarely on MG. He chose to lawyer up and not disclose his whereabouts on the night Ember disappeared. His family has said not one word about that in all their grumbling. Perhaps they should be doing more to convince MG to tell the truth and let LE do their job.

Why did he park where he did? Looks like her could have parked closer. I would get as close as I can to the building knowing I was going to carry a baby and carrier with me.
Is it possible he parked in that location knowing about the camera?
It just seems weird where he parked.

And I watched the video of the vigil. Was mom crying?
I didn't see any real tears. Seemed fake.
Mom reminded me of Susan Smith with voice, body language and fake crying. IMO

That was a map of the wrong store. Sorry to mislead. So, here we go, with maps to raise questions and plot possible search areas.

First, this is Noosha Lane
View attachment 77874

This is the Happy Stop Market. Matthew was parked somewhere in the red box, farther up than the white truck shown in my image
View attachment 77875

In the surveillance footage, he is seen driving TOWARDS home, on Cloverdale Road.
View attachment 77876

However, look at the road options. Did he take some wacky route home? Seems like he would have turned 'right' at the Happy Mart to actually go home.

Now........ where did he come from, allowing him to drive down Cloverdale right past the Happy Mart (shown as a marker in the bottom right of the picture):

This. ^^^^ I could not agree more with all of your points stated. Thank you for stating what I believe so many of us are thinking... And stating it all so eloquently!
