I hope so too. But I wonder if he thought that far ahead, or thought he would be caught. So many unanswered questions. So sad! Still hoping he left a note or something in his backpack.

"The North State Gazette is dedicated to the citizens of Redding, Shasta County and the surrounding Northern California areas.Hello to whichever mod reads this. I just see there is a certain criteria that qualifies MSM to be labeled as such. If a public newspaper is not MSM, how do I recognize that, and what terminology should be used instead? I am happy to go read for myself, if you generously provide the link.
Thank you for your patience with my learning curve.
...couple driving across the Clear Creek bridge at 3:00 a.m. on their way to do laundry on the night baby Ember disappeared. The people in the auto claim that as they drove by they saw a young couple (man and woman) bundling something while standing on the walkway in about the middle of the bridge. Further, the tipster claims the female looked him square in the eye so he believes he recognized her as the woman on the 'flyer.' The reporter also claims that the tipster described the couple's clothing.
Hi everyone. I've lurked forever, but this is my first time posting. :]
I'm questioning the validity of this tip... How can a person make eye contact with someone in a moving car in the middle of the night? Factor in the use of headlights, the pedestrian would avert or shield her eyes. He may have seen her face and is able to describe the clothing. I'm not seeing how eye contact is possible unless the driver was directly next to her and driving slowly. I didn't watch the entire video yet, but is there footage of the bridge? How close could a car drive next to the walkway?
No, I'm afraid not. Any chance it's been uploaded to YouTube?Dear Mods, I have a link to a video taken by a non-news person OF the KRCR News Channel 7 6:30pm news. The person recorded their television set with their phone then posted the link to it on their facebook page.
Is that allowed to be linked? It's the only video of this news report that I've been able to locate. Thanks!

It's a blog. The phrase "team of local activists" is key.
A person outside looking at a vehicle going by might appear to be looking at the inside of the car, but they probably can't see IN the car never mind someone's eyes. It would just seem that way.Hi everyone. I've lurked forever, but this is my first time posting. :]

Sorry....I don't have links at my fingertips. Directing to the place where I know the info can be found is the best I can do.

I haven't followed everything in this case, but I did watch the video. I find it hard to believe. Stop and think about this for a minute! If you are about to throw your baby off of a bridge at 3 in the morning and you hear a car coming, are you going to turn and look that person in the eye????? Or are you going to lay down on the ground and try to hide yourself???? A person could very easily crouch down behind the guardrail between the pavement and the walkway. Makes for a good story, but I'm very suspicious.
I am trying to catch up, too. Questions:
1. What is this about 'videographer', and somebody saw 2 people with 'the baby'??? Link to video please.
2. What is this about cousin (the one in trailer next door that had running h20 ?) & 'a BF' saying they SAW Matthew & Ember in the night, after Happy Mart run + 1 hr. 'cooling off the baby' in the truck?
3. GGE: The only solution to you going out somewhere and missing things here is this: Never leave your home again.:seeya:
4. And a comment about the sheriff saying the court 'made a bad decision': I believe it is probably law of Calif., as other states, that the judge was NOT permitted to make any part of a decision based in Matthew being a 'person of interest' - remember 'guilty 'til proven innocent' and all of that? <modsnip>
Just curious as to why IDing him is taking so long? I'm guessing he may be unrecognizable due to injury? He probably still has the ID he used at the gas station to buy cigarettes on him (I know that can't be used as a positive ID) - but would be another indicator.
