Did the blogger say the witness was headed to a laundry mat? I think if LE are sincere about finding Ember, they would check out every lead. Couldn't the witness have been headed to a home of family/friend? I'm not understanding how a blogger who actually lives in the area thinks it is credible enough but those who don't live there don't find it credible. Seems to be a real disconnect.

Clear Creek leads out to shopping malls and 273 to anywhere in Redding. I live in a smaller town around there and even we have 24 hour laundry facilities.

Do Laundry facilities typically have security cameras ? I would imagine not too many couples would be out at 3 am doing laundry so they would be easy to spot

They didn't say specifically they were heading to a laundromat, but around there, I suspect cameras are rare. Maybe...

I would not discount the bridge lead. I did a search on the map and the area the bridge is in is on a main road that goes directly to shopping (24 hours), and laundry too, I'm sure.
My gut is saying this may be a viable lead. The way the road curves, the light would shine immediately and directly on anyone on the bridge.

I'm in an area with a lot of 24 hour shopping. I don't know of any 24 hour laundry mats. In order for this to be valid, I'd assume MG would have had to be with a JG lookalike, because I can't imagine JG having any involvement. She would have to sneak out in the middle of the night to go help MG dispose of their child only to sneak back home and let MG take the rap. And pretend she knew nothing about it. Too many very slim possibilities for me.

They may have seen someone, but I don't think it is related to this case.

Thanks. I guess I don't understand why anyone is trying to immediately discredit the tip. Any tip is better than no tip. I think it could be checked out by cell phone pings and other witness statements such as JG's parents if she was living in their home.

I don't imagine too many couples would be out paying to do laundry if they had a place to do it for free. Am I the only parent who provided free laundry during those "spread your wings" years? Jeez.

Not at 3am... but it's a good point, especially depending on the age of the person calling in the tip.

I haven't followed everything in this case, but I did watch the video. I find it hard to believe. Stop and think about this for a minute! If you are about to throw your baby off of a bridge at 3 in the morning and you hear a car coming, are you going to turn and look that person in the eye????? Or are you going to lay down on the ground and try to hide yourself???? A person could very easily crouch down behind the guardrail between the pavement and the walkway. Makes for a good story, but I'm very suspicious.
I wouldn't be throwing my baby over the bridge so I wouldn't know how to behave, but I get your point! But, consider that maybe she was an unwilling participant? Could she have been just in shock and wasn't really thinking straight? I'm not all together ready to throw this lead away. Maybe soon, but not yet.

Does anyone recall if LE has said anything or if there have been pictures posted of people searching the creek with kayaks? I recall reading it but unfortunately I don't remember where at this point.

I am not putting a whole lot of stock in that creek video (but still appreciate it being made and posted here!), but I'd feel a lot better knowing that the creek's been searched from the water.

BBM I heard it here:

It is a video of JG describing how people have been helping in the search for her daughter. She states, "We've had people in canoes that are going down the river....." (at approximately 20 seconds into the video.)

While I am taking the tip of the couple on the bridge with a large grain of salt at this point, I found the following article to be interesting information on the differences between how women and men dispose of their children (as interesting as such a horrifying topic can be, that is.)

From the below linked article:

But a study by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shows that fathers are far more violent. And mothers frequently dispose of the corpses in what researchers call a "womblike" fashion. Bodies are swaddled, submerged in water, or wrapped in plastic. Moreover, the NCMEC study showed that while the victims of maternal killings are almost always found either in or close to the home, fathers will, on average, dispose of the bodies hundreds of miles away.

(add that google search to the hundreds of others I have made since joining WS that would be hard to try and explain if my computers were ever confiscated :eek::eek: )

YesVoice4thesilent - thanks for being courageous enough to add that search to your list of what I'm sure is a very interesting compilation . musicaljoke is correct - mention your fellow WSers and I think you'd have some immediate support/backup. (I have searched for everything from "least detectable poison" to "concealing the odor of decomposition"?

Just watched the video of JG a few posts upthread, she seems very composed considering her baby is missing. I assume that was taken in the early days, but surprising to see her so apparently upbeat. I'd have been a total mess from day dot.

Pregnant girls in an inpatient rehab have been ordered to remain on ankle monitors, in Shasta County; makes no sense that MG wasn't, in my opinion.

I don't know exactly what you're talking about but it is unconstitutional to monitor the movements of a suspect with something as intrusive as an ankle monitor. Our SCOTUS recently ruled in a case that you can't even put a GPS tracker in their cars.

Since the the probation violation charges were dismissed (and I'm not sure why. Maybe that's where we should start), the judge had no legitimate reason for ordering one.

How does someone driving a vehicle at 3:00am in a remote, likely not well lit area, know someone looks them right in the eye? And where is there a 24 hour? laundry mat in a rural area?

IDK that I believe this is a credible lead. And I am sure LE verified everyone's whereabouts the hours before Ember went missing.

Just marking my spot this morning and wanted to say I completely agree cubby. In fact I don't believe it for a second, sounds like total fiction, details are too umm detailed.

Laundry at 3am
Looked them dead in the eye as they passed, right in the middle of the bridge
Man and woman, woman can be ID'd and looks exactly like the one on the flyer (no mention of the man?)

Fabricated IMHO

The 6:30pm broadcast is available as a replay, GGE :)

KRCR News Channel 7 Live Stream | Home - Home

http://www.krcrtv.com/krcr-news-channel-7-live-stream/30142008

I'm pretty sure #BabyEmber and the shooting of mg is too news. So, watching the Live Stream will likely allow us to gather up to the minute info we might not find on their site or on their SM feeds (JMO)

HTH!

I can't find a way to select the video I need to share and can't say what's in it until I find the MSM link for it and it's killing me.

ETA - they don't have videos. they only have a live stream. it gets stamped with replay when it IS a replay but WE can't replay them.

Thing is, this is straight from someone's mouth and would blow this thread up and I seriously can't find it. urgh, over 12 hours later now and I'm bursting.

ETA also that website keeps showing me the same insurance ad over and over and over and no news. LOL wth

Maybe someone here could capture the replay and upload to youtube? You've got me curious!

I know a handful of people who would go do laundry at 3 am. Not me but I am pretty sure if my mom was up, she goes to bed early and wakes up early and takes a nap around the time the rest gets up, she would go do laundry if she had a shirt to wash. I know this is off topic but she is the type to hand you a plate at dinner and to remove it in a few minutes thinking you are done. So she can wash it.

I question the tip too. But nothing in this case makes any sense. I don't think MG was that brilliant and I could see him not worrying about a car going by.. The tipster says he could ID the girl, but I wonder if the girl looks similar to others and could be anyone.

Out of curiosity, when was Ember last seen alive, not asleep, but up. And did Ember stay at MG the night before with J?

Sorry! I just want to be sure to play by all the websleuths rules. I find this a valuable community but all communities have rules and ignorance of them usually isn't an excuse so.. yeah. Just being over careful for now.

I hope someone will put it up on youtube though. that would be very helpful. I've also sent a tweet or two to KRCR to ask them to please put it in print. *fingers crossed*
