Can't blame her after what that awful man (the YouTube guy) did - put up a 🤬🤬🤬 for something like 20k so he could <cough> assist in the search.
I know! That was crazy! Like I said, completely understandable. I hope that guy is prosecuted to the full extent of the law!

I wish there was more follow up on prosecution of people committing fraud and purposefully giving bogus tips in the media. Maybe if more people saw that they can and will be prosecuted, the number of instances might decrease some.

We see it far too much on here. People profiting off the pain of others just makes me so irrationally angry, my heart is beating faster just from writing this.

The good news is the Feds are starting to crack down on the bigger scams so I think eventually there will be more scrutiny on all online fundraising. I have no problem in Ember's case but some of ones where guilty parents open 🤬🤬🤬's just burn my butt. Grr.

While we wait for further news, here's where LE searched on July 10:

LE found the pacifier that night. They haven't released the exact location so this is just the general area they searched that day as per msm:

http://www.redding.com/news/local-news/search-for-baby-ember-continues-today

You can also see a little bit of video of the area if you go to YouTube and do a search on "Search for Baby Ember moves to Ono." I didn't want to add the link since it hotlinks.

And here's the area where the volunteer with the drone searched - I think it was yesterday, the 20th:

I'm a very visual person, and I love maps. Thank you.

In the you tube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuH1TCvOSYw), there is a culvert they are examining, where the runoff is pushed under the road through a pipe.

Is it here?

Thank you Jamielin and Mountaingazer.
Amazing what one can miss if you're not dialed in 24/7 over there.

:sigh:

I hope that that video was taken out of context. That far apart, in that tall and thick of grass, to could miss all kinds of things.

I read about him and his 🤬🤬🤬 - is he the same guy who was wading around in water supposedly acting on the tip about someone dropping a bundle over the bridge?

RU&BBM
Thank you for chiming in and saying so sarx!!! Jeez Louise, when I saw the video, I had to stifle myself from yelling at my iPhone screen! My daughters are fast asleep, and once again I am plagued by another night of insomnia with this case :;pullhair:

Granted, I'm no expert, but just looking at that short clip doesn't instill confidence. I truly hope there's a really good explanation for what we saw ^^^^

Based on your expert knowledge and field experience, , what is the proper protocol for those conditions (observed in the video)? Also, is it par for the course to expect this when working with volunteer searchers? IME, it's all in the training. SAR experts can lead a team of volunteers, and conduct top-notch searches, following SOP, as long as folks are trained and willing to adhere to said training. Things can go off the rails when rogue searchers (who lack discipline and/or ignore technique) are out there, unsupervised. That's the stuff worst case scenarios are made of. :moo:

Lastly, what is your opinion on the use of K9s at this juncture? Would it be best to focus exclusively items containing Baby Ember's scent? Or MG's as well? I'm thinking both (to help in her search and for overall investigative purposes). After all, he was the last person seen with her.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. My apologies for the long post and all the questions.

Sadly, I've seen no shortage of trained teams doing this. I hate to call anyone out, but if it brings attention to it and gets teams of all sorts to tighten up then so be it.

Yes, rogue searchers of any variety are not good!

The heat up there is brutal. Until such time comes when there is a narrowed down area, I would keep dogs on stand by. I'm afraid it's too late for the live scent options. It baked itself away.

I must say though, it is a proud moment for me to hear that you recognized the issues on that video!

Thank you SO much for weighing in! It's pretty worrying that this sort of thing actually happens on a regular basis :( :banghead: Talk about frustrating and downright scary :scared: When we hear that areas have been cleared, there's an expectation that it has been done properly. This undermines our confidence in a MAJOR WAY. :sigh:

I almost feel like we are back at square one! How will we ever find this precious child????

P.S.
And as for the RBBM, well shucks sarx, I'm learning from the best! :blushing:

There are lots of great teams out there, but before we call an area "cleared" I think researching training and background is good, way too often we are hearing about the MP being found very close to the pls after it has been cleared.

i know ppl want to help but i think as the mother she has a right to feel that way.

I must have missed it. Can you paraphrase? (Apologies to those who aren't interested)

The gist of it was that she wants the Find Baby Ember page to be the only facebook page, that only she has the legal right to use Ember's name and that action may be taken against others who use it. The same with any fundraising efforts.

She also mentioned how she has been out searching and how devastated she is which goes without saying.

The main message I got from it though was the "cease and desist" type vibe from anyone using Ember's name. Hopefully someone else remembers more detail. It was very late last night when I looked and I didn't overly study it.

I agree with you. I would never want to be put in JGs position but I imagine if I ever was, I would become quite possessive of anything and everything related to my baby. I dont mean "possessive" in a bad way. I think I would feel like as the only known living direct link (assuming EG is no longer alive... and praying to be wrong) to my baby, and possibly knowing that the only other person who is supposed to love her in the same way I do possibly hurt her, I wouldnt want to hand over any part of my baby to anyone else for fear she could be harmed again and that includes the use of her name and pictures. (Holy run-on sentence, batman! Hope that makes sense to someone)

I realized I care too much about baby Ember being found to leave this page. Sarx THANK YOU so much for your expert posts, as always but especially lately in this case. I have followed a number of cases here including this one, and it never ceases to amaze me how the tiniest inch of ground could mean missing the person. I so appreciate the efforts of those who continue to search.

Mother holds out hope for missing daughter

-snip--

Graham, 19, broke her silence of more than two weeks to give the Record Searchlight an interview to bring the focus back on baby Ember Skye Graham and respond to a flurry of rumors that wonÂ’t let up on social media.

--She spoke of her world being tossed into chaos and turmoil, the loss of her husband, Matthew Ryan Graham, and her worst fears being realized when detectives showed her EmberÂ’s pacifier.

“It was in her mouth in the camera at the store. I didn’t want to believe that they (had found) it. I was hoping that they found something else,” she said. “When I saw it (on video), I knew that that’s what they were going to show me.”

--
Graham, who stood steadfast by Matthew Graham when he was named a person of interest in EmberÂ’s mysterious disappearance from her playpen, as he had reported it to authorities on July 2, was more reserved about her support for her now-dead husband.

She said he held the answers into their daughterÂ’s disappearance and those answers died with him.

“He’s the one who would be able to help in this situation and he’s not here. And I’m disappointed in that. I’m disappointed that he isn’t here to answers our questions,” she said. “I wish there was a letter. I wish there was something he left behind. Anything. But there was nothing.”

So the pacifier was in her mouth at the store - LE really do have a lot more info than they have released to the public.
Jamie is a strong young woman IMO, and has been publicly since Ember first went missing. Some people are just able to keep it together when they really have to, and she seems to be one of them - even in the face of some dreadful accusations and innuendo being cast in her direction. I hope she gets some answers soon :sheesh:

The earlier reasons to withhold evidence are no longer reasons to withhold evidence, unless they don't want people out searching. In that case, the only thing to withhold is location information. From the very beginning I have been wondering why the car seat was never mentioned. Other questions I have are about what kinds of diapers she wore, and details about her blankets and toys. What is accounted for, what is missing?
Did the pacifier fall out of Ember's mouth while she was alive, or did it fall off her lap because she wasn't? Would cadaver dogs alert if the pacifier had the smell they are looking for?
