“During yesterday’s search, Jake Haro was present with detectives; however, Emmanuel’s body was not found despite an exhaustive effort,” the department said in a statement Monday. “The Sheriff’s Department would not, and did not, describe Haro’s presence at the location as providing assistance.”

I don’t really know why else they’d drag him out there? To gauge his reaction if they found anything, as someone suggested up thread? Perhaps this part of the statement serves to give RH the impression she still has time to throw him under the bus, when in reality he talked? hmm

JH is probably just misleading law enforcement deliberately, and the trip just an opportunity for a day outside. Emmanuel is probably someplace else entirely.

On Aug. 24, the infant's father, donning an orange prison jumpsuit, was seen in news footage with deputies in the area, approximately 20 miles from where Rebecca claimed that Emmanuel—who is presumed dead—was taken from her.

The baby's father was spotted in a red jumpsuit with deputies in a field on Sunday. At the end of the day, the crews left, and the search continues.

As of four hours ago, he has not been found. Furthermore, this article says that while JH did go with the sheriff’s office yesterday when they searched, he did not aid in that search.

Also, though the search has continued today, the article further states that LE did not search in the same area as yesterday.

Looking at that picture again I just can’t imagine how they will find this tiny baby in all that desert and brush, except perhaps using cadaver dogs.

Or he may not be in the desert at all.

One of these two have to crack or I fear Emmanuel will never be found.

I'm going to blame the prosecutor for putting together the deal. I'm sure the initial charges were accurate to the crime but they agreed to lesser charges so he would plead guilty and get the case over with. There was no one to advocate for Promise and demand that the parents be charged appropriately.

I would hope that somehow the daughter and her family/caregivers can "appear" in his hearing on video from their home. Let the judge see for himself just what the SOB did to her.

I was trying to figure out if there were a way to track the car’s mileage, just to create some perimeter, and then I recognized that I was being foolish. No one knows how long ago they disposed of Emmanuel, and who knows which vehicle they used for their reprehensible act, anyway.

IF IF IF either of them confess, then I suppose LE could examine the car’s computer to see where they drove that day, but if either of these ”parents” tells the whole truth then it would be unnecessary.

Car mechanics is an area in which I am highly ignorant. Just racking my brain uselessly because I’m so frustrated.

I hope his two-year old sister gave him some big sister hugs once in awhile. He looked starved for love and tenderness, IMO.

At least she is safe now, thank God.

I know exactly what you mean. Don't even want to tell you how many rabbit holes I've taken myself down. We all just want him found and want answers I think. There are only two people who can do the right thing now. Maybe JH is, but I'm not completely convinced of his motives.

The fact that LE specifically said JH did not assist in the search despite the fact he was with LE yesterday makes me think JH was b.s.ing the cops yesterday. imo

I am going to guess that Jake, who already got his previous attorney representing him, probably has his phone number memorized, but it seems like Jake has already been down this road, and he is working it, to blame Rebecca.

It seems to me, that Jake is admitting he helped Rebecca dispose of Emmanuel's body, and Jake is probably "cooperating", to ensure he is not going to prison for Emmanuel's death.

Rebecca, lose your story, Jake is throwing you under the bus! Time to get your own attorney, and look out for yourself. Unlike you looked out for Emmanuel. I personally think you deserve prison, but I don't want Jake to slither out of his responsibility. He needs to go down. You are the only one who can do it.

Maybe she was digging in on the fake kidnapping because she had no idea Jake was out with LE in an attempt to locate baby E's remains, when she granted the jailhouse interview? Or maybe the interview happened long before Jake went out? Who knows. Frankly, I don't care.

They both lied about what happened and they're both charged with the exact same charges. May they both live out the rest of their lives in cages, where baby-killing monsters deserve to live.

I wonder if she even knows JH was out with LE while they were searching? She maybe sitting in a holding cell with no TV and no way way of knowing whats going on. Sticking too her bogus story line while he's probably 100% blaming her. JMO.

To me, it sounds like he hasn’t admitted to anything, real or fake. It sounds like imo LE has some information (cell phone data? vehicle data? tip from someone who saw a car like theirs parked there?) that made them think Emmanuel could be there. Maybe they brought JH in hopes he’d give something away that would help them locate the body.

Maybe they also hoped they could use images of him there to scare RH into giving up the kidnapping story?
