CA CA - Emmanuel Haro, 7-months, reported kidnapped 7:30pm from Big 5 parking lot, Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, 14 Aug 2025 *Arrest* #3

I think, when a baby is 7 months old (or younger), you as a parent have to many opportunities to hide the little boy from the sight of others: tired and in bed (don't disturb!), ill and in bed (don't disturb!), not at home but at grandma/aunt/whoelse, not at home but with father/mother driving somewhere, etc. Maybe difficult to discover abuse for someone, who only sporadically visited. MOO
great point! plus someone may have reported something, we don't know if that’s a piece of the puzzle LE used to paint that grim picture. JMO

BBM:

Then we'd be back to the tragic old story about the relatives/friends/neighbors who suspected or knew about an abused child and did squat to protect that child while alive by reporting it?
imo
This makes me wonder about that family member of JH's who did several video interviews right after the "kidnapping," talking about the baby's crossed eye but how much she loved him anyway, etc. (She seems to have quieted down considerably now.) And RH's mother, who seems to have spent at least SOME time with Emmanuel over the months of his life.

How could these people have been around him and not noticed what what happening to his condition, when it is obvious now just based on a handful of photos? Are they an entire family of monsters? Did they actually only see him when he was very small and since then JH and RH have been hiding him away? Did they actually notice but are so attached to or afraid of JH and/or RH that they were willing to show their faces in interviews saying what everyone can see was not true about this baby's care? I have so many questions.

I have to think that even if they were not around Emmanuel often, they had their suspicions but there was some cognitive dissonance going on.

We don't have to deal with this if we don't talk about it kind of vibe I am getting.
From what I have read there seems to be a lot of grifting going on and they may have been thinking why cast stones when they can be cast back.

Sometimes I think I spend too much time here. My local morning news has a ticker running at the bottom of the screen and all it said was 'baby likely died of abuse before being reported missing' and I knew they were referring to Emmanuel. Same thing with Jayme Closs being found, a vague message I picked up on immediately.

With that being said,I would have to ask was he shaken at some point but not to the point of state Emmanuel's sister is in?

At the press conference, a reporter asked that exact question. The DA refused to answer of course. But IMO, that’s exactly what happened.

Another reporter asked about his medical records. Was he seeing a Doctor, when was he last seen. DA also declined to answer that question. Hoping some of this will be answered in the PCA. If we ever get to see it.

Given the horrible decision made by a previous Judge and the way that is now being dissected and criticized in open media. I won’t be surprised if the Judge who is assigned to this case, is overly cautious in his courtroom administration.

but would Emmanuel have been born if Jake was in prison?
Emmanuel probably wouldn't have been born if Jake was in prison?

Assuming you are talking about Emmanuel's step-sister (born of a different mother and adopted by a relative).

I doubt she was merely shaken (which is bad enough). The then-10-week old, when admitted to the hospital, was discovered to have fractures, healing fractures, and a brain bleed. I'd expect those kind of injuries to come from repetitive blunt force injury, whether from a fist, something held in a fist, being slammed against a hard surface, being dropped against a hard surface from a distance, or falling and hitting hard surfaces.

I'm still confused about the alleged confession.
Brian Entin reported sources told him, there'd been a jailhouse confession from JH.

During the presser the DA said there's been no confession.

So... ?

Sheriff Bianco and the DA both said this in the press conference. I get the meaning behind the statement, but factually speaking you are correct.

BTW - Bianco is running for Governor next year, not sure if peeps are aware of that.

I don't think we are allowed to mention that name here, but he identifies himself when asking question of the DA in the press conference. Suggested he wants sleep.

ETA:

here is a link to the press conference in case you have not seen it. Volume is a bit low so you may need to crank it up to hear all the questions. Around 23:00 comes the sleepy time question.

Thank you.

It appears Entin’s information was incorrect. The DA said there was no confession?

I am sitting on my hands on this topic until I can figure out what is what. DA seemed to strongly refute that suggestion during the presser yesterday (hoping to rewatch today) but what apparently started as a rumor has now been reported by several approved MSM orgs.

So I think I will refrain from speculating until I feel more confident this Perkins operation actually happened and the result was an admission of guilt from Jake.

Despite instructions from his attorney, the father of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro sat for a jailhouse interview Wednesday where he declared his wife innocent and said God was on their side, The Orange County Register reported.

The 32-year-old claims he accidentally dropped his daughter, Carolina, on a sink divider while giving her a bath, but when the 10-week-old girl’s mother, Vanessa Avina, rushed her to the hospital later that night, doctors found far more serious injuries, including a skull fracture, fractured ribs, a brain hemorrhage and evidence of other injuries that were healing.

Jake, according to The Register, said he wanted to take the case to trial but couldn’t afford it and that his 2023 guilty plea was a financial decision because the judge told him no one would believe his side of the story.

“Somehow, they magically convinced me to take this damn plea deal,” he said during the interview. “I was sick of court. The judge knows I didn’t do it. They just railroaded me. I was the fall guy.”

During the jailhouse interview, Jake also told the reporter that his wife, who is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, is innocent.

as per the usual, yep. How can the relatives etc not suspect anything, with it being that pervasive in the household?? Still, there’s a reluctance to report on family AND the abuse is normalized in many families… Not victim/bystander blaming, but I think that’s part of it.

That’s why there’s all those dang disney/pixar movies about ‘breaking generational curses’ now. JMO
You'll remain anonymous when calling CPS so that SHOULD be encouraging.

So is Jake saying that he had so much money that he wasn't able to get a public defender yet not enough money that he couldn't hire a private attorney to go to trial?
Vincent Hughes did represent him and IIRC beginning sometime in 2021 when he was FINALLY charged.

The nerve on this guy is unreal. I’m half expecting a disgusted God to appear just to slap those words out of his mouth.

What bull crap this is, from beginning to end.

If he couldn’t afford a lawyer he’d be provided with a Legal Aid attorney.

The judge confided in him that no one would believe him? Ridiculous.

“Magically convinced him to take this damn plea deal?” Absurd.

The judge “knows he didn’t do it” yet still required him to attend a year of child abuse classes?

His wife is innocent despite the fact that it’s been proven that she faked her story about Emmanuel being kidnapped? Ha Ha. Even if she didn’t kill Emmanuel herself, she covered up for what actually happened to this baby.

IMO absolutely the judge did not do his duty nor follow the legal guidelines of Prop.57 because this WAS violence.

And at least Vanessa took the ten-week old to the hospital, so that is something in her favor.
