I'll correct my goose-chase comment to include "imo" because I do think it was a goose chase initiated by JH.
When we first learned Jake was out there with LE, I thought ok there is it - he confessed, or at least said someone (not him) put Emmmanuel’s body there. I thought he was giving up information in order to save his own azz and curry favor in a plea deal. Silly me …

Now I think there’s a couple of possibilities why he was there that day. It could be Emmanuel was thrown from a car in that location, but predators did what predators do and there are no remains to be found. Or, it was a wild goose chase, attempting to lead investigators astray. But that would be a really dumb move IMO, however he’s proven not to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

I keep waiting to hear about a landfill search, but so far nothing. The two sites where the trash for the area is sent - are Riverside County owned and operated. Could they keep a search under wraps? Potentially, if they directed operations to another part of the site. That’s a large reach, likely not. But the DA did state he thinks they know where Emmanuel is.

IIRC, in the Pressor the RC Sheriff said “Jake is an experienced abuser, who knows the legal system”. That left me with the impression they think Jake is lying to them.

Why don't they just give up the location of the baby's remains? Do they really think anyone is going to believe that the kidnap happened when they had already disposed of the baby's stuff?! Idiots.

I bet they also texted each other about their little plot.

As for the judge who let JH off, I bet he believed that the mother did it really. Jake will no doubt try the same tactic this time round: "she did it! Im an innocent bystander!"

Works a bit less second time round though Jake. Sorry mate.
In his most recent statement, Jake did say Rebecca was a good Mom. But that could be an attempt to fein ignorance of any abuse she perpetrated on Emmanuel. He had Clean Hands in other words.

Nah I think it’s their narrative. She said exactly the same thing about him

True!! Can’t remember when the next court hearing is? Wondering if we’ll see the PCA released?

It's hard to imagine what the judge was thinking, but if he believed that the mother did it, I doubt that he would have given her a lighter sentence than JH. JH's sentence was 180 days; the mother's sentence was 120 days.

The parties were ordered to return to court for a felony settlement conference on September 16 and a preliminary hearing on September 17.

Good point! This makes it even MORE unfathomable!!

I think judges need more education on domestic violence JMO.

With all the facts he knew, and all the information that was available to him that he must have been familiar with, and being an actual longtime judge with a good reputation, and considering that judges are expected and usually known to be SMART and sensible and logical, I do not see how he could not have foreseen the likelihood for catastrophe, i.e., that JH would inevitably go on to harm other children in his care in the future if not locked up. imo.
Exactly! I'm so angry at this judge. I think he should actually be charged with a crime at this point. Disbarred at the least. JMO

Criminal defense attorney Alexandria Kazarian joined “Banfield” on Monday to discuss how Jake Haro was removed from his own parents due to drug and domestic violence issues in his family home.

*****
“It sounds like this is a long, long time cycle of abuse that’s happening in this family. There are allegations that his grandfather was mentally ill and that his mother had addiction problems, and she left him at home, not only with his grandfather, who wasn’t fit to watch over him, but there were also domestic violence issues between his mother and his father,” Kazarian told NewsNation.

According to Kazarian, by age 13, Jake Haro was taken away from his parents, along with his sister and brother, and placed into an adoptive family.

All my opinions:
It's as if the judge heard what was done to that baby girl, shrugged, said "I'll just give you another chance," and that was it.

Could he not bear to think about the extent of her suffering so pretended it wasn't what it was? Did he see a little of his own family in the parents somehow? Was he afraid of someone seeking revenge on him?

I don't know, but it boggles the mind, and it wasn't even a little justice for her lifelong suffering.

It's telling that he is surprised for being called-out. He still doesn't get it.

It was also the prosecution that failed the children, too, though, since violating probation still didn't lead to real consequences. These parents believe what they did wasn't really bad, because there are no consequences.

I just dont get why he'd chance taking police there, and come up with nothing. Isnt that just asking for trouble ( leading cops astray)
What game is it, to lead police to a location, and yet have no results? is it possible that animals moved the remains,? ( and didnt leave a trace) yet makes JH look like he'is cooperating? Maybe?
Pretty risky to lead police on a goose chase, unless he didnt .
How did they come to that location? and while there , did JH actually help them ? or direct them at all?
Makes me wonder if JH actually lead police there, or if police had some sort of intel and brought JH along, created a "photo opp" to show RH. "Look what youre husband is up to...he is selling you out". He who confesses first gets the best deal dont they? and wouldnt they have to have some idea about a possible location, phone data maybe showing somewhere theyve been? or she could call that bluff? IMO

I think it was a goose chase because JH has disdain for the police and the law, thinks he can beat the system (again), is a con artist, and wants to send a message to his wife that their secret is to be kept a secret.

My opinion only.

Makes sense, someone who has that disdain may risk P***ing of the cops like that. What a fool. Who knows what goes on in their heads?

Under the Fifth Amendment's right to remain silent JH who is in custody had the right to refuse going to a possible crime scene or a crime scene.
Along with refusing to answer questions or provide information that could incriminate him.

I will assume that JH agreed to go.
Question is did his attorney advice him against it?

imo

I still think it was LE wanted photographs of Jake appearing to assist in order to get Rebecca to talk. Looks like it didn’t work tho, if that was why they brought him out there. JMO

That very well could have been the motive of detectives and JH went along with it.

I gather that the area searched wasn't picked out of a hat and we don't know why they focused there.
imo

I'm kind of feeling that too, they did seize their phones so that could have revealed something.
