Its sad to know the Grandma called social services and nothing was done.
There's something wrong with our justice system ...yeah, that part sucks. Maybe RH will decide to tell at the eleventh hour before her trial. Otherwise, the odds of us ever knowing what became of Emmanuel are slim to none.![]()
I'm going to have to sort that out. She stated many names of grandchildren, I wasn't sure who she was talking about? She said one child called her and said she didn't want to go back to their (Jake/Rebecca) home? Was that one of Rebecca's older daughters? Its sad to know the Grandma called social services and nothing was done.
Can he appeal this ruling, I was confused on that?180 days (six years and 8 months)
plus 25 years to life
no probation. He was on probation when he committed this offense. He is ineligible.
Maybe so but it doesn’t mean she didn’t like being there because she had to watch Emanuel being abused. MooThere haven't been any charges laid surrounding the little girl. Does that mean that she wasn't abused? Seems pretty unlikely that she wasn't.
Totally agree, it sounds like a house of horrors. I just find it really strange that she would seem to be the only child of his who has escaped abuse. If she was in fact abused, I hate to think he's got away with that due to lack of evidence or something.Maybe so but it doesn’t mean she didn’t like being there because she had to watch Emanuel being abused. Moo
Well said! But this case was so prolific, zero chance fellow inmates won’t know who he is. Word travels. What a coward. Outright pleading guilty, so he can get his time in the spotlight over with, so we will forget his name faster. A lengthy trial would have kept his name in the public for a long time, with everyone hearing daily about the brutality this monster has in him throughout the duration of trial. He knows he will be found guilty so by going straight to pleading guilty, he can do as much damage control to his name as he can and also, hopefully avoid any negative notoriety that may follow him in prison.
Because this is not a plea bargain, where he agreed to plead guilty for a lighter sentence or other concessions. If that were the case, the prosecution can say, "Only if you tell us where the body is." Instead he chose to plead guilty of his own volition. The prosecution can't prevent someone from pleading guilty, and they can't force him to tell them anything he doesn't want to tell them. He holds the cards in this scenario. The prosecution isn't agreeing to anything.I really don’t understand why he didn’t have to tell what happened. Why didn’t they require that to agree to a guilty plea?
But why can't the judge look at him and say, Jake, tell us where Emmanuel is. Where is your helpless baby boy? Do right by him and tell us exactly where.
He may not tell, but at least he'll have to live with having been asked in front of the world and yet not telling.
Those tears are for himself.
