I have property in Delano, but don't live there. Have they searched Lake Woollomes? I know Porterville a little better since my husband use to hunt at Lake Success.

oh cool a 'local':)
Hey Branwynbreeze
I am not aware of every where that has actually been searched. I see Woollomes Lake, it is kind of open around it, isn't it?

What do you know about Deer Creek? From stuff I have read it seems a popular place to hang out and do....stuff. But I don't know if it is a particular area or just in general.... It runs kinda from Pixley NWR over to 65 and further east? ( posted a you tube from where Rd 208 crosses it)
I am curious, does it only have water running thru it during certain times of the year? It looks like a catch all for all sorts of things. Do you know about this creek area?

And what about Pixley Wildlife Refuge, which is bounded on the south by Deer Creek. Is it very busy, with park rangers prowling, or rather isolated?

Oh and out around the 2 prisons on Cecil...are the perimeter areas heavily patrolled, or kind of game for anything?

And do you know what those vertical looking pipes things are I see sticking up outta the ground here and there? Are they open on top, where someone might put something in one? ( they look as large around as a manhole)

So if you know the area kinda, what comes foremost to you mind as a place to look? Ya know, if you had done something horrible and needed to make it go away?

sorry for slamming you with all these questions, just so happy someone even knows where Delano is:)
TIA maybe you can answer

eta BTW, Porterville, Earlimart, McFarland & Visalia may also be areas the presumed POI has some knowledge of also.

Actually, I live in northern Los Angeles. My dad gave me the property before he passed. My uncle had property in town, but sold it.

What I remember of Delano is it was more of a migrant worker area. Now there are nice areas and not so nice. I don't really know about where they hang out. I have an acre not far from Lake Woollome and my prop taxes are around $15.00 a year if that gives you an idea of some area value.

We used to go hunting north of Porterville and there was a real big drug problem there. We use to stay at motel 6 on W Morton until they raided a meth lab in room above. The motel that was across the street was scary. We had to stay there once and hubby loaded the guns that night-lots of people milling about and police drive bys.

Overall, lots of places to hid things you don't want found soon if you care to travel a bit-not far, but not just outside of town.

Do you know what kind of jobs the couple had?

Not that I can find and I also have not found anything stating his children have been taken away other than the cough cough donation site.

So frustrating that it's so quiet on this... the Facebook page is so sad. I hope that someone is helping advise the family on sources of help available to them :(

We never had any dropped calls I can think of with exception being in middle of Lake Success area hunting.

OH MY GOSH!! I am so angry right now! When are these states going to push for tougher Domestic Violence laws!!??? I am a DV survivor and when I took out a restraining order on the ex-husband, the deputies didn't deliver the restraining order until a WEEK later! The deputies were suppose to remove him from our home so my daughter and I could go back home but instead we were staying with different relatives for a week. I don't have a good feeling about Erika's disappearance...I pray I'm wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Respectfully snipped and bolded by me. I wonder that also. We know just how incredibly often the system fails those brave women who move ahead and file charges against these animals. Not to even mention the silent ones, god bless them all.

Has anyone made a timeline? Going from memory:

10/9/13
7pm-Julio took kids (why, where and overnight?)
10pm-Julio says Erika started walking to friend's house (1st story)
10.30 +/- Julio says she went to AmPM (2nd story)
10/10/13
morning-Julio calls Erika's mother

Need to find links to support these....

Well, I am from Bakersfield but never really frequented the Delano/Earlimart, etc. area except to drive through using back ways to get to Fresno. Lots and lots (and LOTS) of farmland, cotton fields and orchards, and don't discount the oilfields of Kern County (VERY barren).

bumping this link up, of the video from store

so it may be assumed that 10:51 pm is the last time she was seen, based on the video
I do not know if LE has actually confirmed this sighting or who the driver actually is

http://www.bakersfieldnow.com/news/...ng-Delano-woman-is-still-alive-228290531.html

This is the most recent MSM I can find, from 10/18/13

Per google search of Sunnyview apts from article:

He is the POI still then ^ cuz I find nothing stating otherwise and I would think LE would have stated such if eliminated, by this date.

Where are those poor people getting the idea of shovels? I hate to say it, but I don't think they need those.
