O/T, but for some reason until this very moment I always assumed that you were a man. For no apparent reason whatsoever, lol. Gotta love the internet. Although, I guess you could still be a man. Sorry for rambling.

Knox a MAN?

I wonder if her husband knows about this! :gasp:

:giggle:

Also in the pArking lot picture we saw, the jeep was so dirty I thought it was dark gray, had no clue it was maroon, def wouldn't have mistaken it for red!!!

I think CL only thought about the military in relation to Erin if NL had warned ( when first affair happened/affair first happened) him she would not put up with him jeopardizing his benefits. Otherwise, it was all about the pregnancy, which he (probably) was desperate to keep from NL. I too think that any crimes on her part came afterward. Jmo

This attorney seems on top of the case. He also appears to be sharp. As I said before, this will not be a cake walk if it goes to trial. Thanks for the article.

Even good lawyers need something to work with. I think a lot depends on the trail of evidence and Imo, LE worked on that carefully during the month he was up in AK. I suspect they have much more. Jmo

I agree - they have much, much more evidence. Personally, I'll be surprised if this ever goes to trial.

I'm not a lawyer but my idea of someone who fights extradition is to refused to leave the state he was arrested in formally, through paperwork, and the state that wants his sorry butt has to file formal requests to have him sent to them. Saying I'd like to talk to my lawyer first does not mean he "fought" extradition. To me, fighting extradition is a whole lot more in legal maneuvering and takes a lot of time, not just a day or two. But like I said, I'm not a lawyer so what do I know?

BBM: For not being a lawyer I think your post was spot on! Thank you for explaining it so well for my tired brain to comprehend. :)

Do you think CL will plea?

I wonder when Erin discussed the pregnancy with CL?
I wonder if the topic of a pregnancy was brought up Before she was pregnant, otherwise it's a bit confusing
about what the friend in Tennessee said...

"Corwin told the friend, who lives in Tennessee, that Lee was worried his wife might divorce him and prevent him from spending time with his child if she knew Corwin was pregnant, the affidavit says."
http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/marines-wife-found-dead-in-california-mine-shaft

With Erin telling JC that she was pregnant, it kind of sealed the deal about her being pregnant, meaning, that if CL asked her to abort, well, she could have told CL that
she already told JC, so there wasn't going to be an abortion, and looking to the future, (if Erin was indeed pregnant), the baby might look like CL, then what? CL might have
thought about that, knowing that he would have to pay child support, etc.

I still wonder about the first pregnancy...
It seems she had known CL for awhile...
This is sad all the way around...
IMOO.

Wonderful! What good news! Thanks for letting me know. I've been thinking about you.

And I've been waiting to hear from la2cabo. Been thinking about her, too.

That is fantastic shadetree44! My results today also came out clean as a whistle. Woo hoo! Thank you to those who showed concern, I GREATLY appreciate it :)

According to that article, CL has had this lawyer since the spud gun arrest. Maybe he picked him then with the idea he might need him for an even bigger case??? Like murder 1?

Interesting take on jurisdiction. My guess is if the civilian fails to convict, the government my take a shot @ it. We will see!!

see, I kind of disagree with some of the article. I do think the Marines will step in, if, at state level, he is not convicted, just because JC is still a Marine. I don't think it would be looked on very well if they don't protect their own/their spouses.

I will be very surprised if the red car incident and her car later being moved proves to be true.

Great news! We're on a roll!!!

I'm still reading through but don't want to lose my thoughts:

1: The 3 weeks pregnant always sounded odd to me, but if that's what JC gave police, that would be what EC told him, and she may have adjusted it from 5 weeks to make it fit in when he was at home. A couple of weeks at the end of the pregnancy is no big deal.

2: I'm going out on a limb to say that NL actually told CL that if he loved her and wanted to keep the family together, he would kill EC. I believe she participated in the planning and the coverup in order to preserve what she had with CL, but made him actually do the deed, to "prove his love". That would also forever tie them together, making sure he couldn't cheat again. MOO.

The car being red is true. Lee's jeep was Maroon. As to the other concerns about size and car type, for one thing MB only said it was a sedan initially, it wasn't until a month later that it became a smaller car. Sedans come in various sizes. He was prodded with questions for weeks, and asked about the truthfulness of his statement, and if he really saw what he thought he saw. That can change the perception a little bit. The one thing he's completely certain about, without a doubt is that the car was red. He never said what shade of red, like how dark or light, just red. Definitely RED.

Size perception changes by how far away the object is. We don't know how far away from the road the cars were initially. And if the blue car was moved further away, then it's conceivable that when he drove by again a couple times comparing the now smaller-looking blue car to the red car's image in his memory, the size of the red car became difficult to ascertain. The other thing is the curb, is it a bump or a mound;... THAT could hide the bottom of the car making it look smaller. Or did the Jeep's tires sink into the sand, with the same results. Is the terrain completely flat, or is it curved? Etc.

This is MB's statement in the TV interview (Taken from my notes):
"I seen a girl get out of the car, you know she had a little ball cap on, looks like some glasses, a little pony tail. I seen her get out of the car. She actually got to the passenger side, maybe did something, maybe locked her door or something, and, ah, what was a red car looks like a little Kia or Honda Accent, it was red, 4 door, umm, it was a short guy driving, didn't have much hair, but it was a short guy driving. Like I said, I seen her willingly get into the car...."

On a link listed on a previous post (will try to locate it - http://www.cbs8.com/story/26058825/) There is a red sedan outside of the apartment complex where the couples lived. No idea if this is related. Let me know if the link works.

If I remember, in another MB stated the exact information. Only thing different he said in 2nd statement is along with Kia and Honda Accent was maybe Ford Focus. All these vehicle look almost alike. I think someone else is in the middle of this case. Take your best guess!!

It takes a while to get through my notes on this as I have over 70 files on this case. Just trying to keep up with you guys! Can't type very quick. Thanks All, Peace

To Mrs G and Seajay - Thanks guys!!!
